He showed up in issue 2, I believe, [blackout]causing havoc and mayhem. It was summoned by some enemy of the Hand to something, I don't much recall.[/blackout] Didn't really put a lot of effort into the issue when reading it.

Didn't like it?

Not enough was explained. Going to save any feelings for the end of the series.

Isn't Johnny's GR form usually drawn like Dan's now? I thought Dan's flames were blue now.

That's when he was absorbing all the powers of the other Spirits of Vengeance. It's now the same color, costumes are relatively similar, yet their bikes retain their original looks. JB is usually a hellish chopper while DK's still has that shield in the front. That bike is clearly Dan Ketch's bike.

The other differences between the two is that Dan Ketch's SOV wears a black leather trenchcoat while JB's doesn't.

In the preview the GR resembles Blaze's look, but he has DK's bike.

Here's a look at both of them side by side:

Geez, making their flames the same color was probably a terrible idea for exactly this reason. :o

You would think the Editors would notice something like this. IMO, the artist was probably working on this before he even knew which Ghost Rider would be in the script.

I'm sure it's all the same to them at this point. Nobody's agonizing over whether Ghost Rider's jacket should be double-breasted or single-breasted like in the old days anymore. :o

True, but that is Ketch's bike. Shouldn't that matter? :csad:

Just picked up this comic...It's definitely Blaze.
He's still riding Ketch's bike, but the comic wasn't that bad. It's the first time Blaze called in a favor from God itself, and it was pretty surprising.

Three great Panels from Shadowland Ghost Rider:

So, it looks like Ghost Rider is joining the Heroes for Hire book, along with Moon Knight, Punisher, Elektra, Falcon and other "street level" characters. And... I just don't see him on that level anymore. He always taken on demons throughout the years, but he seemed to rise above the street level character for me during the latter years of the 90s series, and even moreso with the Way/Aaron series.

Maybe Johnny'll steal a bit of Dan's previous characterization along with his looks and powers. ;)

Yeah, all thats left is for him to move to Queens and hit on Stacy Dolan.

Just read Shadowland:Ghost Rider. It was a pretty good read and actually it seems Ghost Rider is playing a big part in how the heroes are going to save the day albeit unwillingly.

Well I dont think anyone should get all bent out of shape about it or anything. Lets not forget that the biggest rip-off of all was done by the creators of Ketch. The whole flaming skeleton on a flaming bike thing was snatched from Blaze.

They have back story to back up the reasoning why Dan had the power of the Spirit of Vengeance. Plus he's a legacy character so that makes that argument invalid.

If Blaze was seen with Dan's bike, characterizations, and abilities; without any reference or reasoning, then that is simply bad editing.

It's basically an acknowledgment that Dan was the better Ghost Rider, only they're giving all his stuff to Johnny 'cause people might know the name a little better.
