Ghostbusters 3!

Jeez, look at the difference between the PS3/Xbox360 graphics and the PS2/Wii ones. It looks like Ghostbusters Pixar-style.

I think it is kind of a good strategy. IF you cant make it as good as the others might as well make it gimmicky, right?

Hey, any of you guys ever seen that? Old promo reel for the Real Ghostbusters cartoon of the mid-late 1980s. The two key differences between the promo reel and finished series -

1) The guys are still depicted wearing tan/beige jumpsuits (like in the movies) instead of the multi-colored jumpsuits of the animated series.

2) A different character design for Peter Venkman, featuring a slightly different haircut and a rounder face (squint your eyes and it almost looks like a cartoon Bill Murray).

I wish they would have gone with that. I loved Real Ghostbusters, but the different color jumpsuits always bothered me!

I'm guessing they went with the different color jumpsuits because from an animated standpoint it wa believed that giving each Ghostbuster his own different colored jumpsuit would make him look more dynamic from an animated standpoint. The episode "Citizen Ghost" actually offered an in the universe explanation: the guys abandoned the original jumpsuits because they were contaminated with ectoplasm from their encounter with Gozer, thus making them dangerous; Peter was supposed to burn them at Egon's instructions, but he just stuck the suits somewhere else and forgot about them, and, what do you know, few weeks later the ectoplasm caused evil ghost like dopplegangers to spring up in the old suits, even developing their own sort of anti-proton packs.

What's even more disconcerting is seeing the different character design for Venkman.

Its funny because Lorenzo Music did the voice of Peter Venkman in the cartoon. He also did the voice of Garfield in the cartoon series.

In the Garfield live action, Bill Murray did the voice of Garfield.

Everytime I see a casting list for a future GB movie, someone always mentions Simon Pegg's name as a possible new GB. I think they're starting to typecast the dude as far as weird action comedy stuff. He's somewhat funny, but come on now. The second most named is Vince Vaughn for God knows whatever reason.

Well like he said the PS2 and the Wii are unable to handle those type of graphics. Yet another reason for people to upgrade to a PS3.
