Whoever they cast for Oscar, he should be a mixture of Murray and Weaver.. Someone you can buy as being raised by Dana and Venkman... I vote for Jesse Eisenberg.

I still like whomever's idea it was to have Anton Yelchin as Oscar. f you watch Charlie Bartlett, he really shows an ability to channel the personality traits of both Dana and Peter.

I dont think 3 would be much considering that the other 2 franshise might not even have sequels. Seriously I think Anton Yelchin is the best choice for Oscar. That kid is seriously an AMAZING actor from Alpha Dog, to Charlie Bartlett, then TS and Star Trek. He is seriously a star on the rise and and immensely more talented than some of the younger actors out now ie Emile Hirsch, Shia Lebouf, Jesse Eisenberg. One of the only other young actors around I respect as true performers are him and Ben Foster but ya gotta admit Ben Foster is a bit older and has alot bigger of a resume

yea i mentioned anton on the other page, i do like him and i would love for him. As for trek he is a smaller role there so i dont see any issues with that and gb if after 3rd movie if they decide to do more. As for terminator its up in air what will happen will all count on who ever buys terminator rights and all that.

Even though Anton as Chekov is a smaller role that dont even matter cuz he absolutely nailed it. He is such a good actor. Plus like someone mentioned above in Charlie Bartlett he nailed that lovable smart ass character to a t.

he's a crappy actor that plays the same character in everthing he's done; from Arrested Development, to Superbad, to Juno, to even his new movie Youth In Revolt. always playing the awkard, "wtf is going on" teen

as other have said, Anton Yelchin would be great as Oscar. maybe even Emile Hirsh, but his age may be a factor

Have you seen his other movies? If you did and still don't like him that's fine.

If not, it's getting absurdly old, especially when there's a new(er) actor.

Who said Oscar had to be a smart ass?
He ISN'T Peter's son...he is Dana's. Chances are that Oscar barely even knows Peter. Peter and Dana weren't together anymore in the game, which takes place 2 years after GB2. That was written by Aykroyd and Ramis, so chances are it will be canon, and as such, whatever circumstances bring Oscar into the fold as a new Ghostbuster, it will likely involve a bit of tension between Oscar and Peter, considering the tumultuous relationship his mom had with Peter.

Now, that is definitely some ground ripe for a few witty exchanges between Peter and Oscar, but if all we had was Venkman and carbon copy Venkman jr. trading barbs, it'd be dissapointing.

I think Eisenberg would be great as Oscar. His and Murray's are 2 different styles of wit and humor, and as such the aforementioned possible confrontation would be made much more interesting.

Also, Eisenberg was just in a horror comedy in which he traveled with 3 other people eliminating unspeakable terrors. Sound familiar? Difference: He double tapped zombies in the face, GBs stuff ghosts into small boxes.
I think he's definitely equipped to handle the task.

Yelchin would be great too.

While I love Cera, I don't think he'd be right for Oscar.

I just did a quick google of 20 something actors and this guy came up on the first page. His name is Luke Ford. He was the son in Mummy 3. I'd have to watch the movie again to comment on his acting/comedic timing, but I saw his picture and immeadiately thought "Oh yeah, I'd buy him as the son of Sigourney Weaver and Bill Murray (visually anyway)."

Aykroyd did mention that they wanted some unknowns for the new GBs, and Mummy 3 was this guy's biggest film.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents.

they could if they are still acting and all that. But its fair easier to just go with someone new and all that. As for oscar yea yelchin would be one i would def love to see in the role. As i said i am curious to see what type of character they will make him be. Then whats up with the dana/venkman relationship did they later on get back to gether, or is venkman and the other 3 original gb's just oscar's crazy cool "uncles". Though i could see if venkman was around for oscar growing up oscar could look up to him as a father figure.

As for the other next gen busters dan months back said they might be 5 member crew with maybe a female in the bunch. How would you guys want to handle the next gen busters. Do you want the rest to be young like oscar will be. Or have them be a bit older like late 20s-mid 30s? Then what type of characters are they regular joes(like winston), or smart/odd(spangler/ray), or the slacker/smart ass(venkman).
