oh totally that would be nice to see what they think of the idea.
Hopefully there's no inspiration drawn from Extreme Ghostbusters, that show was an epic fail... at least from the perspective of the new characters introduced. They clearly didn't reasonate well.

Impressionable youngsters as Ghostbuters is strange enough but bring a grown up Oscar into the mix? Not feeling those ideas.
This is GB, not Harry Potter..
To me, actors around the age of Ryan Reynolds would be ideal here as opposed to GB kids.
I think a sizeable amount of the fanbase would be turned off if they went too young with these actors.
I'd prefer actors born in the late 70s... as opposed to the late 80s
The Ghostbusters have always been identified as mature adults.
), I can recite episodes of the cartoon as well as the 2 films, bought the RGB boxset, got all the comics, the toys, got the game at midnight, have a movie style suit with my name on it, built a pack and trap from scratch, and I even joined the Arizona Ghostbusters charity group so I could use my love for GB to do some good (we just finished our Ecto and I get to see it saturday morning! EXCITEMENT!
). You say that a large portion of the fanbase would be turned off by younger GBs, but I know tons of huge GB fans (not just people who like the movie, I mean like building props and such), both online and in person, who I've had plenty of conversations about GB3 with and they all tend to enjoy my ideas, including casting choices. Lastly, GBs=Mature adults? Did we watch the same film? Maybe Egon and Winston, but half the comedy in the film came from Peter and Ray's lack of maturity. In fact, other than acting professional when there was a camera around and Ray's scientific mind (both things that an actor in their 20s could pull off just as well), I would say that Ray and Peter acted like the youngsters you want to keep so far away from this. Peter with his anxiousness to charge out the wazoo for jobs and make money, plus oogling/going after anything with 2 legs and breasts. Then Ray who is excited by almost everything. The scene when they buy the firehouse springs to mind (YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS POLE!!!) And that's only the first film.
I could see someone like Roday, Hader, or even Ryan Reynolds as you mentioned alongside Stone and Scagliotti, though Aykroyd did mention they'd be going for unkowns, and I'd say Reynolds is pretty big, if not now, then definitely after Green Lantern.
i think having the new team be students studying the same subjects that the old team teaches would work great. james roday isnt a kid at all, allison may be young but she is college age. just make her a prodigy, something akin to egon.
and i hated the extreme(ly pc) ghostbusters.

If there's something strange...
In your neighbourhood...
Who you gonna call?
Jedward..?
Er... No.
Sadly it seems that we are going to be 'treated' to another huge production from Louis and the boys on Saturday night. While the other acts are all rehearsing their big movie ballads and warbling away like they should, John and Edward have selected Ghostbusters and are trying their best to learn the infamous Ray Parker Jnr 'walk' - speaks volumes doesn't it?

That's what I am talking about. He was great in those two eps of real ghostbusters. I think there is great potential in that.i wanna see Sam Hein, the pumpkin headed dude.
Oh it would be great to see alot of cool ghosts and monsters next go around. Just think what they could do now visually for the ghosts.
