Comedy Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire

I just rewatched Ghostbusters I, II & Afterlife over the weekend getting prepared for this release. I enjoyed Afterlife after my first viewing but watching it again immediately after the original two films made me appreciate it and love it even more since a lot of the references were fresh in my mind. I love this franchise! My son and I were talking, and discovered they recently announced that they are releasing the Extreme Ghostbusters DVD/blueray box set, so it appears that we will be making a purchase in the near future of The Real Ghostbuster and Extreme Ghostbusters collection as well.

My excitement grows!

The Bear just jogged my memory. This movie better get Ecto-Cooler put back on the shelves again.

I loved Afterlife. But this really does feel like the Ghostbusters 3 we dreamed about in the late 90s lol

I also have a feeling Bill Murray will finally get his wish of Venkman becoming a ghost.

I liked this a lot more than the first trailer, although "tall dark and horny at 12 o'clock" is a pretty big step down from "He's a sailor, he's in New York. We get this guy laid we won't have any trouble" as far as Venkman zingers go. :o

Yeah, I totally get that. I feel like if it wasn't for the loss of Harold Ramis, Afterlife probably would have looked more like this but a step back to focus on the Spengler's was necessary. Now there's no reason to hold back and jump right back into the swing of things.

Totally different trailer!

It looks like Winston will finally be the meaty, vital role that Ernie Hudson finally deserves. Loving everything I'm seeing about this.

I was a bit unsure about Gil Kenan taking over directing duties, however, it looks like he may have pulled off one heck of a fun Ghostbusters sequel.

Filing this under "Boomer refusing to give up his humor but is consciously curbing himself around his grandkids."

Not much else to say other than this looks like perfection. If you grew up a Ghostbusters kid, this is everything we ever wanted to see. Can't wait.

Saw a couple of boxes in the attic that say "GB artwork" and the GBII logo. Love that they are paying attention to all those details that weren't explored in the originals.

I liked it. I enjoyed the last one but my main gripe was the original cast felt shoehorned in at the end. This one has their involvement feeling more organic (being in NYC helps).

The question is where is Oscar?!?

Much prefer the non Murray focused trailer.

I like how the VFX look like from the 80s
