Comedy Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire

I remember an episode of the animated series, where they head to Alaska and try to catch a dragonlike demon…maybe they draw inspiration from that.
Boogeyman would’ve been nice too.

I like seeing Janine back and in a jump suit. Curious about the prominence of the old cast. I didn't expect much of them, and I suppose marketing are going to put them everywhere regardless of screen time, but yeah so far they look quite heavily involved.

I'd like this to be good, I just hope it's fixed the saccharine tone that Afterlife drowned in. Some new stuff is a good start.

Sure, go ahead and keep advertising the stuff that will turn me off from the movie.

Yeah, excited that they seem to have a more integral part in the story.

Has it been confirmed if Sigourney Weaver is back in some capacity as well? And potentially her son Oscar?

The only other one from the other 2 we know is back if William Atherton as Walter Peck. Considering we haven't seen him yet, it may just be a cameo.

The creatures of Frozen Empire actually take influence from a different kind of Ghostbusters adventure – specifically, late ‘80s animated series The Real Ghostbusters, with its “wild, original and weird-as-**** villains,” says director Gil Kenan. It’s a show that unleashed such oddities as a werechicken, a boogeyman, and an alternate reality with ‘Peoplebusters’. “We wanted to bring that show’s looseness and fearlessness to this movie,” Kenan notes. “I think it’s going to surprise people just how big this film is.”

That’s not the only flavour in the mix for the Afterlife sequel. “John Hughes was a big touchstone,” notes co-writer and producer Jason Reitman. “That thing of a family in a station wagon, living in a crumbling home, the teenagers kicking back against their parents. [Finn Wolfhard’s] Trevor’s 18 now, so he’s like, ‘I’m an adult!’” There’s even a bit of Wes Anderson in there somewhere, too. “We wanted that Royal Tenenbaums thing of a family living on top of each other… but in the Ghostbusters’ Firehouse,” chuckles Reitman. “We see the Firehouse way more than in any previous Ghostbusters film. What’s it like to sleep there, do laundry there? What’s the attic like?” Prepare for the wildest Ghostbusters adventure yet.

They should bring back Real Ghostbusters (a la X-Men '97). JMS wants to return and it was his writing that made the original show great.

Thats awesome to have confirmation. Ever since GB Afterlife, I was already getting The Real Ghostbusters and Extreme Ghostbusters vibes and wondered if that was the direction they were going with the franchise. I welcome it 100%! Since we unfortunately lost Harold Ramis (Egon) It seems Ernie Hudson (Winston) will potentially be the Veteran "leader" similar to Egon in Extreme Ghostbusters to the younger rookies.
I'm excited to see the returning OG cast as well as the newer cast. Cant wait to see where this goes!

Looks like Slimer has been living on the attic of the Firehouse?

Slimer looks great! Everything looks very promising.
