Seriously, i'm so freaking sick of everyone attaching -INO to everything they don't like. It had been annoying me for sometime, but it really went over the edge when someone called Spider-Man 3 SMINO because of the recent spoiler where
Sandman might have been Uncle Ben's killer, or at least working with the killer. a scene was filmed with all 3
. A change like that doens't make it SMINO, that's ridiculous. Catwoman is the only time that phrase should ever be used, since it's the only time it's ever been 100% true.
So the American Godzilla movie was not GINO, for the simple fact that it was still a giant mutated lizard. Catwoman, on the other hand, was not just a woman in a catsuit who stole things, she had freakin' cat powers.
As for the topic at hand, Godzilla would win, no contest. Just by size alone Godzilla automatically wins.

That's not the point. GINO stands for Godzilla In Name Only. However, he is not Godzilla In Name Only, as it has more in common with the actualy Godzilla than just a name. It worked for Catwoman (CINO) because that was practically ALL they had in common. They changed so much from that movie that it was unrecognizable from the comic book character. The new Godzilla may have changed some stuff, but they still got the basic core of it (still a giant lizard that likes to destroy major cities). Like I said, people see minor changes and just decide to throw -INO on there, and it's losing all meaning. I supposed Superman Returns was SINO because his cape was a different shade of red and his symbol was too small.
