Irvine's mom Evonne is an enabling, piece of crap. It "breaks your heart"? Really?! How come you didn't stop giving her McNuggets when she was 6, 8, 10 or any age before she reached that teenage rebellion point of no return? I have much more sympathy for the daughter than I would if she picked this habit up as an adult, because mom-of-the-year has gotten her addicted to the high sodium and fat in the McNuggets and now Irvine will always associate the taste and smell with her childhood. She would probably have been better off if you'd just given her cigarettes every day... my god.

I get the feeling that they're heavily exaggerating how much of this stuff she eats...but either way, even if you went and ate nuggets and fries 4 times a week, over time, your cholesterol and blood pressure probably would do you in, and I'm not entirely surprised that she wasn't like 400lbs or anything...

Ok I found an image of her. I was actually expecting to see an incredibly obese girl, but she's actually cute.

She eats chicken nuggets for 15 years and looks like that, and I eat two cheeseburgers and put on five pounds.

There are a lot of foods I like...McNuggets aren't one of em...but I can't imagine eating any of them solely for fifteen years. At the very least, there are far better options than friggin McDonald's.

I couldn't eat any food all the time for that long. Even if it's food i love, i'd eventually get sick of it.

For example for about a month last year I was eating those Heinz Big Soups every day for lunch at work. In the end I couldn't stand the smell of them.

Geez, I like chicken nuggets as much as the next person, but how could you not get bored eating the same thing for 15 years?

Also, the mother may sound exasperated, but who was feeding that kid meals for most of her childhood? There's no way this girl could have been eating nothing but chicken nuggets since she was 2, unless her parents were feeding her that.

If this was my daughter I'd tie her down and stuff fish oil and green veggies down her throat, then force her into some crazy workouts. This girl's legit gonna die.

Honestly, it's probably more common than you think with poorer families. Mickey D's is the only option.

I don't know what its like in America but there is alot of food far cheaper than McDonalds in supermarkets.

I don't know this girls situation, but I've watched a few episodes of the MY STRANGE FOOD ADDICTION show. There are several reasons for people acting this way. Some of them have no control over it...it's not always a situation they choose to do.

Yeah I watched one about a girl addicted to chalk. There's a technical term for what she had , I can't remember it. In the episode she sees a doctor who tells her it isn't fatal unless chemicals accidentally get into it at the factory which the fda isn't concerned about. She took that to mean what she was doing is ok and refuses to stop eating chalks.

This girl isn't going to stop eating nuggets.
