the Atomic Breath parts were the highlight of the film!!

The movie in general was basically disinterested in Godzilla for the most part. The MUTOs drove the plot. I've said it before but the movie would have probably been better off just being an original film at that point.

Definitely getting this bad boy when it comes out.

It looks nice. But I'll stick to NECA Godzilla.

hopefully the blu ray will have decent extras

still pissed the new blu rays of the classics are all region locked

Perhaps we're jumping the gun on this one with Gareth. It's possibly they were fighting him on keeping the atomic breath the way it is. Not that it wouldnt be there from the start.

The art book did say that Gareth was interested in portraying the breath as lighting, to enforce the God angle.

Lighting is Ghidorah's thing, I'm glad that Godzilla kept the atomic breath.

I'm glad the atomic breath was kept the same, its for the best. I'm open to some changes but it shouldn't be one as drastic as it becoming a lightning-esque look.

Weatherman: "...and as for Friday's weather, with this Low pressure system coming in there's about a 70% chance for a Godzilla warning to be in effect for the next day or so. Just keep your Giger counter at the ready or go out and buy one if you don't already have one..."

"Some say the world will end in fire,
some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire,
giant mutant lizards are really the way to go."

-Robert Frost

I've said it before but I loved the movie so much. I need this **** on blu rayyyyyyy.

You know what I'm really curious about? The people who hated Godzilla, but loved Transformers: Age of Extinction.

Good point. I guess this goes to back to various topics of certain movies rated lower compared to other "lesser" movies.
Perhaps it's because the way the movies are promoted which leads to them being judged more strongly .
I Always use the example of someone cooking food.
Person A could just make a simple tasty pasta dish
Person B meanwhile makes a michelin type of dish.
Both are tasy dishes but Person B's dish will be judged more strong.

With Transformers you pretty much expect the typical humor associated with Bay as well as the Visuals not to mention the acting performances are okay. Nothing to really brag about.
Godzilla promoted itself as a very grounded movie with strong acting performances.

The differences between those movies & Godzilla. They are not scared to show the action & don't kill off anyone that was the best or interesting character until the end. Godzilla was / did both. Pay attention Godzilla director

Transformers didn't have anyone remotely interesting to kill off, and the action is nothing but a repetitive cluster.

The Transformers' "characters" are every bit as wafer-thin as Godzilla's if not even more so, and their action is a jumbled repetitive incoherent mess.

Godzilla did have plenty of flaws of its own, but the last thing it needs to take tips from is Transformers.

While Godzilla's writing for the humans was serviceable and didn't have anything mind-blowing written for the Brody's, I can't believe someone would say TF had interesting characters lol

Indeed, that's how I've always described Godzilla's characters. Servicable, not much more and not much less.

Transformers "characterization" is an endless slew of wildly unfunny "comic relief."

Even if the characters in Godzilla were rather bland, atleast they weren't mind-numbingly annoying.
