I'm super excited. While I had already won some Gofobo passes to a Monday screening of Godzilla for a picture I photoshopped, I just won reserved seats in a video contest!

Along with the reserved seats I also won a Godzilla dufflebag full of Godzilla stuff!

The back spikes on the first are too long, and the head on the 2nd just reminds me of the Emmerich Godzilla.

Godzilla 2000 and KiryuGoji had crazy long spikes, and as for the Emmerich head, I don't see that as a deal breaker. A head design like that shoudn't be shunned just because it was in a bad movie.

If that art book is anywhere near as good as the production book they made for Pacific Rim then it is a must have.

They can stay away from it all they like. I'm just saying because someone screwed up specific head design, doesn't mean it can't ever be used again. It looks a little like GINO, but it's different enough to tell them apart, especially taking the body into account.

That T-Rex like design reminds me a lot of Stan Winstons unused design.

I couldn't agree more, looking at what could have been to what we have now, I'm truly happy that they found a respectful yet modernly update Godzilla design in the end.

Looking over the concept arts, I can see why designing took over a year.

See, I'm feeling a little opposite. I don't hate what we got, not at all, I think it's great. I just like the others enough that their inclusion in the movie wouldn't hurt it for me.
