Godzilla (2014)

I recently bought the Atomic Roar Godzilla and I have to say, I honestly misjudged it when I first say it from the internet leaks. It looks much better in person, and has a much better sculpt impression than I had originally gauged it. Overall it is a pretty decent figure, and as a birthday gift for my bro, he lost his mind and loved it lol.

I'll have get myself one from off of Amazon :D I have a Destruction City Pack on the way from Amazon, it will be here sometime today (Thank you free-two day shipping! >.> Thank god I renewed my prime before the $99 price settled in. Phew!)

And though while I anticipate it, I greatly anticipate my Jakk Pacific Godzilla figure even more! And no, I did not get those jacked up over $100 ones, I brought from Toys R Us online. And before you check their online site, it's generally their Ebay Toys R Us, they are selling them like hot-cakes, and for the proper retail price, so buy them while you can. (Limited Stock!)

Neat.

My friend who is a massive Godzilla fan said he finally had all the movies after I got him the Biollante one and a few days later he IMs me and says he's still missing one. :whatever: He didn't say which one either. He was just pouting he still didn't have a complete set.

At least I'll know what to get him for X-Mas if he doesn't get it himself.

Boxoffice.com's predictions as of 3/21/14.

What would the summer season be without at least one major reboot? Come May 16, Warner Bros. will deliver the first reboot of the season with Godzilla. This week the BoxOffice team takes a closer look at the monster flick's commercial potential.
Godzilla
(Warner Bros.)
PROS:
- The first theatrical trailer inspired glowing reactions.
- Co-star Bryan Cranston already features heavily in the marketing material. That's a wise move considering that the actor carries plenty of clout post-Breaking Bad.
- Godzilla is one of the most--if not the most--globally recognizable movie monsters of all time.
- The ensemble cast features key up-and-coming stars such as Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen.

CONS:
- It's possible that the bad taste that 1998's Godzilla left still lingers for some moviegoers.
- Opening in between The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and X-Men: Days of Future Past won't be easy.

Opening weekend:
$75,000,000

Cumulative:

$235,000,000

That trailer was all sorts of awesome. I admit I jumped a bit at the roar even though i expected it. :p

I'm very surprised that we didn't get a poster like that.

Boxoffice.com's predictions as of 3/21/14.

I predict it'll make just under $200,000,000 domestic. But overseas, this film will make an absolute killing almost guaranteed. I predict it'll make at least $700,000,000 worldwide, hopefully they start emphasising that this is a monster versus monster movie more rather than seemingly trying to fool people into thinking that Godzilla will be the only one doing the destroying... yet again, in another American remake.

So....$199,999,000 domestically and $600,000,000 overseas is what you're saying? :oldrazz:

I didn't realize without even thinking that this does come out between Spidey2 and X-men DOFP, I just hope it does well, not saying I'm worried but those two are guaranteed hits.

Is that official?

I wish. It was done by:

WB is sticking to their guns. They're not gonna move the release date like they did with Pacific Rim. Hell, I'm confident Godzilla could pull a Star Trek 2009.

That man really knows how to make Godzilla look like the most badass thing that ever lived, I love it.

For sure, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has potential to be the highest-grossing Spider-Man film and this latest X-Men film NEEDS to be a big hit (considering the massive budget that's been rumoured, they better start marketing the hell out of it right away before it barely hits past $400,000,000 like the previous X-Men films because this can't afford to be another First Class-sized hit).
