How many of you read the R.L. Stine books and watched the tv series? I was a fan when I was a kid, and found the books enjoyable even if they weren't particularly scary.:yay:

Good God.

The TV version of the first "Night of the Living Dummy" scared the hell out of me.

everybody read them in the 90s, i mean they bring back memories of the clinton era..the 90s.

Sorry. Missed them. Married and started having monkeys at that point. Were the books or the shows better?

I own them all (well most of them anyway) I was in the Goosebumps book club and got alot of free stuff too. And I agree with the person a few posts up, the night of the living dummy movie made me **** my pants.

I remember I was very fond of the Haunted Mask movie, but I think I only read the sequel.:o

I used to read three goosebump books a day. I loved the stories, I loved R.L. Stine, until I found Stephen King.

I still own that VHS! It has a lenticular cover. I think the main characters name was like Carley Beth or something.

I think it was Cassie Beth. Whatever.

The books, naturally.

Holy batch I love Goosebumps. Read probably 1-2 books, but seen most of the show. Been renting them for free, so I ****ed them. And such.

I tried to get into Fear Street when I was in my preteens, but it just didn't do it for me.:down

And the show had one of the best opening themes.:o:up::up::up:

yeah i read a few of them, and i think i rented the one about the haunted mask. scared the **** outta my lil brother. i was fairly young as well during that time but i always thought it was kinda stupid. :o

maybe i was just trying to be cool.

I never read the books (found comics by then) but I truly loved the show. Never missed an episode. Back then that was some damn good television.

dude those books were awesome, i remember the one about the freaky monster in the woods caused me too lose a couple nights of sleep. and whenever they converted that story to the small screen I came pretty close s**ting myself.

thanks R.L. Stine

Checking imdb now. The best creepiest episodes were:

Stay Out of the Basement- That was some freaky ****.
Say Cheese and Die!
How I Got my Shrunken Head

I don't remember much of the other ones.:csad:

Night of the Living Dummy FTW. That still scares me :csad:

Never watched Goosebumps.

I remember the show being suddenly a pretty big deal around the time I was in sixth grade. Unfortunately I never was able to watch the show much, other than a few minutes here and there, but I read a few of the books which were pretty decent I thought.

Yeah that one is pretty damn freaky.

And the one ep with a doll that had Shia Labeuf in it. the ending was freaky.

Maybe there should be a novels/books forum added to the comic books forum.

they need to release these s**ts on DVD, I would pick them up quick

I admit that I did, in fact, read the books and watch the TV show :trans:.
