Horror Goosebumps | Disney+

https://collider.com/goosbumps-reboot-trailer-release-date/

The new Goosebumps will follow a slightly different formula than the classic anthology horror series for kids, instead centering on five high schoolers who band together despite their pasts to investigate the mysterious passing of teenager Harold Biddle in their hometown three decades ago. At the center of it all is Justin Long who plays the new teacher in town Nathan Bratt with a connection to Biddle's murder. In the dark and twisted process of solving the mystery, the kids discover the dark mysteries their parents kept hidden from their teenage years and face down the supernatural forces beyond their comprehension that hang over the town.

Making up the younger, seemingly-possessed cast members seen in the teaser are Ana Yi Puig as Isabella, Miles McKenna as James, Will Price as Jeff, Zack Morris as Isaiah, andIsa Briones as Margot. Also aboard Goosebumps are Lucifer alum Rachael Harris and Childrens Hospital star Rob Huebel. Rob Letterman, the director behind the surprisingly spooky 2015 Goosebumps film starring Jack Black, will have a hand in resurrecting the franchise again, serving as an executive producer and developing the series alongside Nicholas Stoller, an acclaimed comedic filmmaker who most recently served as showrunner on the hit Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne comedy series Platonic.

Goosebumps returns with five episodes full of scares on October 13. Check out the teaser and new images below.

this looks surprisingly mature and creepy

The Haunted Mask, huh?

"Go Eat Worms" is one of the more popular ones? All this time I thought I was the only person who liked that one. :o

This is giving me the Are You Afraid of the Dark revival movies vibes.

Super excited for this! I grew up reading the books and watching the 90's series. Now, I'm enjoying it all again with my kids and especially my son as he is getting into reading the books now as well.

I like that this appears as it will be a bit darker and well..... actually scary from the preview. While I enjoyed the 90's series, I cannot ignore the fact that some episodes were corny, not scary but of course, times were different lol.

Count me in as another excited fan!

can‚t wait for the intro sequence. Hope it’s a reminiscent of the 90s original

Ended up watching all 5 episodes released so far and I am liking it so far

Kinda reminds me of the Scary Movies to Tell in the Dark movie in which a lot of things that occurred in different books/stories are occurring at once. While the show is aimed more towards a teen audience, it has a pretty mature tone that appeals to fans of the books and original 90s series

I watched all 5 eps to and enjoyed it. Not much to complain about.
Some of the dialogue by the kids was a bit...I guess try-hard. A lot of things they said seemed like things adults think zoomers say. And obviously it was written by adults but at times it took me out of it. One thing I can praise Ninja Turtles Mutant Mayhem is capturing how younger people talk (mostly by letting them adlib)
But that's a minor complaint

The only real complaint I have isn't about the show itself, it's about the releae strategy. Streamers need to pick one or the other: all eps at once or week by week. It really messes with the pacing when they only release part of the episodes and then move to a week by week release. Especially when a lot of shows are written and filmed without that in mind

Really enjoying this so far (watched episode 4 today).

Started this yesterday, finished 2 episodes. I am really enjoying the reworking of the classic stories.

And the ending of season 2 was classic way of ending an episode. I loved it.

I'm really digging this.
Hope it gets a season 2...but man the pacing was bad. I thought the recent episode 8 was the finale, but we have 2 more episodes I think.
The story is spinning its wheels a bit and I feel that some of the character's development has really slowed down

Zack Morris is another Brit doing a pretty good job playing an American

Finally finished it. I very much enjoyed it. I hope we get a second season.
