Gotham Knights

Not quite done with this yet after finding it on sale, but I like it against my better judgement. This is a very good Batfamily game and a really annoying Ubisoft game smashed together haphazardly. There's a development that I really dislike in the story personally, but otherwise I've had a good time with it despite the systems involved being... messy. Very messy.

If I had a nickel for every Batman-related adaptation that came out this year where one of the villains is led out to a waiting squad of police officers and is then murdered by another villain, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird it happened twice.

Finally ordered this seeing that it’s much cheaper, and got a friend who bought it and wants to do coop.

Will be starting after the Xmas hols (finishing God of War during that time). I’ll probably choose Nightwing or Batgirl, both if more than one playthrough.

With who did those of you who have it, start?
I will get the game for sure sooner or later, so i keep thinking about with who i will start...im curious what the majority choose.

Im thinking about Starting with Tim, he gets way too little love i feel, so i think i will go with him.

Haha, I’m just basing my choices on my favourites regardless of how well they play in game.

Is this game worth playing? If you're a Batman fan is it honestly worth the purchase? Its on sale on the Playstation store and I am contemplating getting it.

I'm having fun with. Definitely feels like they wanted a Avengers style live service then saw how much of a **** show that was and tried to course correct.

I bought it on that sale and have been enjoying it, it's got rough edges (the real reason for it not having a performance mode is just absurd), but is still a good time, just don't expect it to live up to Arkham's gameplay and level design. I do really like its random crime system though which the Arkham games never actually had and if you mess with the brightness/contrast/saturation settings the game can actually look quite beautiful.

I have access to it via PS Plus and its too clunky to me. I just couldnt get into it

Bought this for $10 last month and completed it as batgirl. I had a blast, and the story was actually really good.

So i started with my Playthrough and 2 hours in, its fun.
It plays nice and looks quite decent.
The Batcycle is useless because its super slow, but the rest so far is neat.

Fighting feels nice, stealth is decent and the systems work nicely.

Im still annoyed at the premise, would have been better if Bruce would just have been lost or so...especially since his model and the batcave look really good.
Could have been nice to play with that Batman.
I like his voice actor, he managed to bring in a good emotional aspect into the intro.

I dont know if the game falls apart yet, but what i played so far feels really good.

I started playing recently as well. I think it's perfectly fine for what it is. Solid 7/10. Im apparently the only person who doesn't mind the speed of the cycle. If I had to guess, I would say it's because I expected substantially worse out of it considering how poorly the Batmobile was implemented in Arkham Knight. If you're on PC, there's a mod to fix the cycle speed.

I enjoyed this game, overall. After giving it a proper chance, I enjoy it as much as the games of the Batman: Arkham series. My one and only main issue with it, though, is how slow the Batcycle feels; it definitely takes me out of the game whenever I use it—which is few and far in between, since it's faster to just zip and glide, it seems.

The Batcycle really annoys yeah.
But its surprisingly fun to just use the grapple gun and Jump with Nightwing to me.
This would have been the perfect opportunity to give us some kind of spider-man swinging, even just very basic.
But their main idea was the Batcycle, they just messed up with the speed.

Other than that, i really have a lot of fun.
Spent yesterday an hour or so just doing open world stuff and it feels nice.

There are some nice mods out there, but sadly i play it on Console.
The Arkham Knight Batmobile is sometimes too fast for me, but the Batcycle feels just too heavy and slow compared to it imo.
But i dont mind too much, it gives me more reason to tavel across the streets, which feels quite good.

Right, I prefer using their various traversal abilities. I love how consistent and smooth Nightwing's is, but Tim's is my favorite to use—along with its stealth component when facing enemies. I feel like it's a largely creative game. And I do feel like the way grappling is implemented in the game is reminiscent to Spider-Man's web-slinging. It feels very similar; to me, at least. It's what came to mind when I very first started playing the game.

You're absolutely right about the Batmobile and Batcycle. I wish they would have been able to get it perfectly in the middle. The Batcycle just feels so cumbersome to use, between the two, however. Overall, though, I have just as much fun playing Gotham Knights as I do playing any of the games from the Batman: Arkham series.

Okay, at this point im actually infuriated at people for making this game so bad.
Yes combat despite me having learned a new ability, is pretty basic and not too special...but the rest of this game keeps getting better.

By now i have a ton of variety of Crimes in progress that i can do, which is fun.
The story so far is not bad...but most of all...this game delivers a incredible good batfamily experience.
Im really loving the dialogue you get when returning to the belfry that really builds the world and the characters...nobody told me that.
All the little easter eggs etc, that shows that the developers did really look into the comics and all to get the characters right.

Or simple stuff like just the animations when in the belfry.
You got stuff like Tim sleeping on the couch with Jason watching over him, that i as a huge supporter of the Batfamily dynamic, really like.
Lot of details that make this really a enjoyable experience the more i play.
