I only skimmed some of these posts, but I could feel the pain, or better yet the confusion with some of Morrison's work.
I've enjoyed his Batman work for the most part, though I had to read Batman RIP twice to 'get' it, and I still didn't care for the idea, floating around at the time, that Dr. Hurt was the Devil. The idea of Batman beating the Devil, particularly by jumping at him in a helicopter was just dumb. I liked Batman & Son, the Ra's Al Ghul stories, the Black Glove stuff. I think Morrison has a definite knack for creating cool villains, but the demonology stuff didn't work for me.
I also didn't get Final Crisis, or the Batman 'lump' stuff. However, I've stuck with Morrison and I liked Batman & Robin quite a bit and think the idea for Batman, Inc. is a good one.
