Great Batman stories outside The Batman titles

I have pretty much every Batman comic form the last two decades, but haven't explored much outside the Batman related books.
I' m sure there must be a lot of other books were Batman has had some good stories. If you guys could show me the way!
I own the obvious JLA trades, but no JLA comics.

I know there was a good story in Swampthing, I think it was #7.

Hmm, what JLA stuff do you have? Or Superman/Batman?

Superman/Batman Public Enemies is really good
JLA: Tower of Babel

JSA: The Liberty Files is a great Elseworlds WWII story, with Batman and other heroes as secret agents basically. But Batman is pretty much the main character. Tony Harris' art is super rad.

Got those.

I'm really looking for issues or small arcs in other DC books like, Superman, GL, Wonderwoman, Green Arrow etc.

Wonder Woman: Hiketeia

Does it matter if Batman isn't much in a story but leaves a huge impact? If so, then get Superman: Red Son.

Nope that's fine aswell.

So I need to check out those two stories.

FYI: Batman gets his ass kicked in The Hiketaeia. I don't know if you're weird about seeing your favorite character get beat up or whatever. A lot of Batman fans seem to be.

Superman Man of Steel vol. 1 has the first current meeting of Superman and Batman.
Green Arrow: Road to Jericho has Batman teaming up with GA against Red Hood and Brick.

Oooh, Superman: For Tomorrow and Lex Luthor: Man of Steel have some nice Batman scenes.

It doesnt matter that he gets his ass kicked. The story is really good.
Besides, with Superman he has a chance if he uses Kryptonite, but in a one on one fight with WW he stands no chance, so its all good. I'd be whining if he beat her.
Thanks guys, any more?

  1. Superman|Batman Annual #2
  2. Supeman-Batman-WW: Trinity
  3. JLA: New world order. Its the first arc in Morrison's JLA run and its fantastic. Read the rest of his run as well.
  4. Final Crisis and all the important tie ins (ask someone who knows to help you with this). Its a great story (although a bit frustrating to follow at times) and it has some great Batman moments and his death.

You haven't met many super-hardcore Batman fanboys, have you?

Batman appears in one panel of the Sandman 'The Wake' arc. It's a funny cameo with him, Supes, and Martian Manhunter.

Thanks guys, any older books to recommend?

BTW, Batman trumps Wonder Woman, I'm sure he let her win to make sure he'd still have a chance to get her in the sack.
Any one knows you should let your woman win every now and then, otherwise they'll condemn you to 6 months hand labour.

Let Wonder Woman win? Not really.

She is an immortal warrior who has been training and fighting Greek gods and mythological beasts her whole life (about 2.000 years). And lets not forget her super strength, super speed, super stamina and the fact that there is no Kryptonite for her.

Yeah but Batman has a fancy belt with stuff in it.

We all know that Batman vs. Superman/WW/Aquaman ends up in sex. WHy bother argue? Batman is a pimp.

Heh.

I liked the first Batman/Spider-Man crossover, where Carnage and the Joker teamed up. But you probably have that already.

Yes I own it, fun little book though.
