How has the media outside of comics effected comic characters and stories?

Your correct on that the radio gave Superman
  • Kryptonite
  • The power of Flight
  • Jimmy Olsen
  • Heat Vision
  • Super Breath
and a few other things I just don't remember at the moment. The movie gave Superman Crystal technology and the FOS we have now. Superman: TAS gave us Mercy and the look for the new Toyman. Lois and Clark lead to the wedding of Superman and Lois.

Actualy a metal that caused problems for Superman was introduced in a 1940 comic, they called it K-Metal in that story.

I'd love to have a CD of the episodes where he fights the KKK

I'd say that Hawkmans comic being changed to Hawkgirl was influenced at least a little bit by the JL cartoon.

I'm suprised no one has mentioned that Renee Montoya was originally created for the Batman cartoon, but appeared first in the comic books due to the animated series needing a longer lead time before churning out an episode.

Batman:The Animated Series

Paul Dini made Harley Quinn,Harvey Bullok and Rene Montoya popular.

Justice League

John Stewart is a leading character, when in the comics he was a second rate Green Lantern from what i have heard.

The JL cartoon was already cancelled by the time Hawkman's title was renamed.
