The "bit" that he did when he was on Conan recently was hilarious and explained why he rarely makes talk show appearances.

He talked about how he couldn't understand why anyone would want to have a social conversation in front of a live audience and millions of viewers.

I found it hilarious, when watching my Seinfeld season 1 DVD, that at the start of the series, Larry was barred from coming to any meetings with NBC because he was just too volatile.
