Think about it. This movie has everything you want in a Batman film.

Actually yeah, Bruce Wayne post Knightfall and teaming up with a pre GL Jon Stewart to solve some Riddler puzzles, it's great. Die Hard: WaV is a legit action masterpiece.

Thank you!

New York = Gotham
McClane = Batman
Sam Jackson = original character/Robin/pre Gl Jon Stewart
Jeremy Irons = The Joker
Sam Philips\Katya = Harley Quinn

HAha i like it but what if you went a step further and have it be revealed towards the end that Batman thought he killed The joker after he fell from the top of a building in a previous story ;) and that its not actually the riddler but the joker pretending to be him all along.

It's true. Because:

1. Bruce Willis...Bruce Wayne!:wow:

2. Jeremy Irons? "Jeremy" sounds a lot like "Joker". Jokeremy Irons. The name "Irons" is of course a reference to the crowbar the Joker used to kill Jason Todd. And now he has disguised himself as Alfred.

3. Samuel L Jackson wears "glasses" in the movie. Looks a bit like a domino mask, or what? He's obviously Robin.

4. Batman used guns during the 40's. Bruce McWayne loves to shoot things up.

I agree, it's a Batman movie. A violent Batman movie.

Using a Marxist cover story to hide their true intentions, while fulfilling a personal conquest of revenge against our hero? Sounds like TDKR.

The whole "city held as hostage with a ticking bomb" is a lot like the plot of DH3 too. In Die Hard they had to keep running around solving those silly puzzles to protect areas of NY, and then the whole "there's a bomb in a school but I'm not saying which one."

No Alfred though.

And the campy Adam West version

No offense, but I find statements like this really stupid. It's like when people say The Iron Giant was the best Superman movie. No, it wasn't. Last I checked Superman wasn't a f***ing robot and Batman isn't an alcoholic New York cop. Sure, there may be similarities and maybe a Superman or Batman movie could take some cues from these films but they are not "the greatest ___man movies."

Well yeh sure you can take it super dooper seriously if you want but i think the rest of us are having fun.

Die hard 3 sucked to me. No where near The Dark knight, batman begins, batman 89, TDKR, or batman returns
