Greatest Marvel Villain of ALL time

Apocalypse is ok but I wouldn't even class him as the x-men's greatest villain, that would be magneto. If you're talking about the world of comics, surely the interplay between hero and villain is the main factor.

Quality of villains is about longevity and interplay

This is why the goblin is spider-man main foe
why the red skull is cap's arch nemesis
why the kingpin is DD's main enemy
etc....

It's about how interesting the stories and characterisation rather than simply coming down to power level.

And with regards apocalypse under these criteria, he isn't even in the same league. Look what happened the last time they rolled him out...oh yeah....it sucked

apocalyspe charater is limited because he is so strong and each time he appeared hes defeated by some miracle, or someting silly the same thing applys to thanos, and galactus ( who im not sure classifies as a villian) so i take back apocalyse being the greatest villain

doom has SMALL mystical knowledge?? i thought he was the greatest sorcerer in the world bar doctor strange.

also: i choose none of those. theyre too different in nature and what they've done to be compared. apocalypse is about mutant rule. doom is about personal gain and galactus is about feeding on a cosmic level. one is feared in an alternate reality above all else, one has been world ruler and the other is a force of nature.you may as well add norman osborn because of how evil his personal vendetta against peter parker has been.

Doom?!? please, this guy got to rule the world and he got bored. Apocalypse has turned into a wanna be Magneto. Galactus just wants to ****ing live which unfortunately is by "eating" planets. imo I'll go with Creed, I know there's like countless people that can whip his ass but he's ruthless and kills for both business and pleasure.

most powerful? the leader. yeah, hes dead. but still the most powerful. uses the huge veiny head of his, as well as controlling powers. im glad they didnt over-do him. makes him a sleeper hit to those who did read him.

Heck most of these guys, like the Leader, haven't even defeated ANYONE...ever. They've only competed. They've 100 and 0 as win/loss records.

what are you talking about? doom loses no matter what he does. hes got 0 wins in my book. The leader, on the other hand, is not a typical villian. doesnt need to steal the beyonders powers.
if anything, magneto is on the same level as doom. in my book, maggy would beat the s*** outta doom.

Unfortunatly, "your book" has little to do with anything.
The Leader, whose powers are super-intellect and mind control regularly gets taken down by the Hulk. (lil' irony there)
Magneto has been completely punked by Doom EVERY time they have competed.
Doom has defeated the Avengers (#155 or so) Galactus, the Beyonder, the Red Skull...etc. etc.
Just because you are unaware of something doesn't mean it didn't happen.

Read more. Type less. No need to have an opinion when you don't have any information...it just makes you look bad.

If you had it within your natural (not mutant or super-powered - but human) abilites to find a way to overcome GALACTUS... what kind of challenge would Magneto be? For a character with Doom's history to be defeated by a simpleton like Magneto... THAT would be bad writing.

No, man (and at least we're on topic!) the thing that (for me, anyway) makes Doom supreme is that he has NO super power. He has his human brain and his indomitable will. Using these two things alone, he competes.. and wins against the most powerful beings in the Universe. That's just too damn sweet for words.

That is a very simplistic... and clearly wrong way to look at it. They ALL exist in the Marvel Universe. Check out Jim Shooter's original Secret Wars and the old Super-Villian Team-ups. This will help you to realize the true distinction in ABILITY -not simple power- between these two. Doom is simply so much more than Magneto.

between you and me, the greatest villians for me at least, are the red skull and Doom. For those reasons you mention. its why i love cap, and consider him the greastest. because compared to everyone else, they are somewhat powerless.
but i think that doom isnt the most powerful villian.
if anything, mags is more powerful.
