Greatest Mobster/Gang Movie

Well discuss the best mob/gang flicks. My top five have to be
1.The Departed
2. Heat
3. The Untouchables
4. Godfather
5. Scarface

I wouldn't really classify Heat as a mobster or gang movie.

I'm glad that you had the balls to list The Departed (not the Godfather) as your #1. Most people will call it blasphemy because so many people think they must consider Godfather to be the greatest movie ever. I really liked the Godfather, but I agree that I like the Departed more.

godfather has nothing on the departed. it was suspenseful and had lots of twists and turns that actually made sense and didnt ruin the movie.
godfather had none of that. but godfather is still a classic

I think you might want to keep it mobster and gangster movie because if you have crew you could sneak in Oceans 11, though it really doesn't hold up

I don't know if I would put The Departed as a number 1 either though, cause I really didn't feel it was that much of a gangster movie, but more or less a movie about being a rat.

Miller's Crossing and Goodfellas are probably my two favorites
