So...I avoided this book like the plague, but I just read that in it, after the wedding when Ollie and Dinah are about to consummate their marriage,
Ollie becomes possessed by something for some reason and Black Canary stabs him in the neck and kills him. The end.

Did this really happen?!?!?!?!? WHY?!??!!?! Between this and the Maximum Suckage that is Countdown, all the goodwill DC brought to me with Identity Crisis through 52 is nearly gone.

Wow. That sucks. And this needed it's own thread?

I don't know how it could have killed him since at the end it said to stay tuned to a new Green Arrow/Black Canary series.

I think it does. I came lurking yesterday to see what everyone was saying about it, and couldnt find anything. Maybe the single spoiler doesnt, but the special ish might, and the reprocussions and theories behind the spoiler might as well.

Check the solits for the series.
The Green Arrow on the covers sure as hell isn't Ollie.

It's called a cliffhanger ending, the explanation will probably come next issue in the new GA/BC series.

Yes, the GA on the cover of GA/BC is Conner, not Ollie, but that could be a red herring, like when the solicit covers for many of Brad Meltzer's JLA had different characters than the final versions so as not to spoil the new line up. Or maybe conner really is on the cover, but that doesn't mean they've really killed Ollie.

WHAT THE *****?

Okay, I've gotten that out of my system.
At least that explains why they didn't put Ollie on the cover of BC/GA #1.

I really liked this issue... especially

Green Arrow begging for sex
and
The jokes on Snapper Carr's expense, even the one made by Dr. Sivana
and
The beginning flashback
and
The angry almost-sex

Didn't really like the ending, but oh well...

Yeah but Canary's outfit at the end was worth the price of admission. :yellow:

Was Rogue War the only happy ending to ever happen in comics ever?

My friend called me in the comic store today and frantically told me to look at the last three pages. I did and I said "meh". It's a classic cliffhanger ending. My guess. Deathstroke has the real Ollie locked in a basement somewhere and this was a clone or some such nonsense.

yeah, the end was a total mindf**k

he better not really be dead, or I'll be incredibly pissed, Ollie is one of my top 5 DC characters

Same here.
It would really be redundant, too, since with that Supermax movie in production, they'd [BLACKOUT]revive [/BLACKOUT] him before that came out anyway.

Ollie ain't dead. From the GA/BC solicits:

"...an all-new adventure that brings the Star City-crossed lovers together!"

"Black Canary and Green Arrow conclude their mission on Paradise Island and are stunned to find out what's really been going on there — and just who's been behind the kidnapping of their missing friend!"

So, if GA was kidnapped before or during the melee in the cave - then would the marriage be legal?

Batman is a bit of an arse for declining the wedding but showing for the fight.

bats didnt go because he knew it was gonna hit the fan... prep time anyone?

This is probably a stupid question, but what "cave" where they holding the wedding in?
They just referred to it as The Cave, so I automatically assumed the wedding was being held in the Batcave, but now I'm not so sure.

Is it me or should Dinah really have used her canary cry before resorting to stabbing "ollie" through the neck with an arrow?

Did seem bizzare. She had already disarmed him THEN came the arrow.
Curiouser and curiouser...

I really hope it's a cop out.Ollie is my second favorite DC character.
