I'm partial to the old handcuff arrow, although honestly I still think there was some appeal to the period he went back to plain old pointy arrows (as much as the Seattle days did wear on me after a while).

This discussion does remind me of the JLA plot where Connor Hawke was fighting alone against the Key and had to start using Ollie's old arrows from the Watchtower's trophy room. "Net Arrows! Boxing glove arrows! How about just one! Pointed! Arrow! DAD!"

Honestly though, if you didn't have some means of escaping the phantom zone arrow, it would just be too powerful. Why would he use any other arrow? SPrime had to escape it.
