Danny Brickwell.......when he first came out I really didn't like that character....I thought he sucked and I didn't like him and I couldn't wait for him to be caught or killed and out of the book......then something happened....I don;t know exactly when but I think it OYL.....

I really like Brick now....he's one of my Favorite DC Characters....i find myself reading GA now to see what Brick is up to....Green Arrow isjust a bonus.

For some reason, while reading this Red Hood arc, I couldn't help but think it was written entirely by Master Bruce.

I'm thinkng he's got some plan up his sleeve for Red Hood....that and he coulda had his arm blown off.....though I found it odd that the missle went right in and arrows always bounce off.

He has always seemed like a visual rip off of the defunct Milestone's Blood Syndicate comic's Brick House. The Bood Syndicate were one of the gangs that ran Dakota.

Brickhouse (or Brick): Marta (last name unknown) survived the Big Bang while pressed up against a brick wall; as a result, she took on its characteristics, becoming a 10-foot-tall, super-strong woman of living brick (complete with mortar lines). Unfortunately, this led to a substantial amount of brain damage, and she was subject both to epilepsy and retrograde amnesia (by the time the series was cancelled, she still did not know her last name). Despite the massive biological changes implicit in becoming "living brick", she was still able to eat, bleed, grow "hair", and conceive a child (her subsequent miscarriage may, or may not, have been the result of mystical attack). Her name was inspired by the Commodores' soul classic, "Brick House". The character "Brickhouse" appeared in the animated series Static Shock.

I like his "general" attitude.

He's not a "villian" per-say,... You get the feeling that if he could protect his territory and get paid,.. he wouldn't be a crook at all.

They were both published by Milestone and based in the fictional Dakota-verse. Static was a 'Bang Baby' also. Static wasn't as kiddie oriented as Static Shock is.
