Green Lantern: The Animated Series

Sadly, got a response from Cartoon Network, after I sent them a well thought out e-mail.

Hi _____,

Thank you for taking the time to contact Cartoon Network with your comments regarding Young Justice/Green Lantern: The Animated Series.

After much careful consideration, Cartoon Network (U.S.) recently decided not to proceed with production on any additional seasons of Young Justice or Green Lantern: The Animated Series. As a result, Cartoon Network (Canada) will not have any future seasons of this series.

However, we are pleased to inform you that we will continue to air the remainder of Young Justice and Green Lantern: The Animated Series episodes in their regular time slots, until the completion of their current seasons. Furthermore, we will begin airing Young Justice Invasion (currently airing on Cartoon Network in the U.S.) in Fall 2013. The exact date and time is yet to be announced.

We realize that you're probably disappointed by this decision, but we hope you are able to find new favourites amongst all of the fantastic shows that air on Cartoon Network!

Again, thanks for taking the time to share your support for Young Justice and Green Lantern: The Animated Series with us.

Have a great day,

I want to respond "LOL GOOD ONE", but I don't feel that would get me anywhere.

As I stated, if a lot of Kids had been watching these shoes (like they watch Ben 10) then this would have continued.

The younger generation (and kids) are just not interested in GLTAS and YJ as a result the ratings dip (young adults and adults watching these shows does not help as the aggregate viewership ship is low.)

**** Cartoon Network. **** DC, you discombobulated pieces of garbage.

Marvel has like two movies coming out every year, DC can't even get their act together on the cartoon front, on the print front, and on the live action movie front. The only front they do well on is the direct to video and arrow fronts.

WB gave GL a really good push... it's not their fault nobody gave a damn.

DC only makes the comics, dude. And the comics are just as good as they've ever been.

Is that why the new 52 is failing and there have been massive cancellations and layoffs? The only good thing to come out of the new 52 is WW and AM.

It's not failing... Sales are up from beforehand. Plus, there haven't been massive cancellations, everything they cancel gets replaced with a new book. They've sustained 52 books simultaneously other than a month here and there. Every company has a few books that don't sell well, and every company cancels them. I don't recall any recent layoffs since 2 years ago, which was before the New 52. I find it odd that you make up fake struggles just because you don't like something.

Hell, the New 52 was successful enough to inspire Marvel NOW! Which is also very successful for Marvel.

this has been my favorite cartoon since the DCAU, and I loved it so much but I'm not even made about it being cancelled because I totally expected it AND, I get over things quickly

Talk about condescending on the part of the network.

I'm actually at the point of not even caring about comic-based animated series anymore. I'm not going to get invested, just to get shafted by ****ty scheduling and eventual cancellation. No thank you.

I'm starting to feel the same way.

Today just proved that Green Lantern TAS is ****ing incredible. What a goddamn twist. What action! They want to cancel this greatness? Lmfao yeah get rid of literally the best show on Cartoon Network, good job!

How can one person be so out of the loop? Sales are up? No layoffs? What world are you living in?

Good episode and I'm glad that Aya returned, only to have the twist occur between her and Razer. Also sad that the female Guardian is now gone as well.

I've just been over to Toonzone.net and their is so many people trying to save this show and Young Justice so tweet this to Cartoon Network:

#SaveYJandGLTAS

Hopefully we can get enough people doing it to save the shows

How about purchasing the products out there if you truly want to save the shows?

Well, I hate to dip into my trust fund. Maybe I'll sell off a few stocks and buy a few million kilowog toys.

Ive bought the DVDs I'm doing my part but this is cartoon network been idiots as always

The tweets won't work...

Honestly, everybody should just save their energy. Nothing (except maybe the DVD's selling out) will save these shows now.

I hope they bring Aya into the main DC comics universe and have her join the Teen Titans to represent the GL's since there is no Teen Lantern.

That...was...incredible. I honestly didn't see that coming. Aya's coversation with Hal was kind of adorable with her naivety, she just comes up and says "Razer does not love me". So I'm wondering what becomes of the Guardian created AI now. Are they going to just have their own planet from now on or will they continue to hunt emotions?

I rather start a campaign to have the Hub Network, pick up YJ and GLTAS.
