Which one are you more excited to see? Which one do you think has the most potential?
Is it the ragtag team of misfits that you fell in love with last summer? Or the Thunder god who hasn't yet gotten the movie he deserves?

Thor. GOTG was great, but I'm a Thor fan and I'm really hoping/expecting to see them knock it out of the park with Thor 3. You don't call your film "Ragnarok" without going all in!

Both, I can't & won't choose between the two because I'm pretty much equally excited for both. I love Thor & I love GOTG because both have such a rich history & deal with magical/cosmic forces and a lot of other weird things so yeah. :D

Loved GOTG but Ragnarok all the way baby. I believe that Marvel is going to give us the Thor film we've all been waiting for.

GOTG 2. Thor 2 was easily one of the weakest entries in the MCU and I have little desire to see the follow-up.

GOTG2 easily.

Thor was okay and Thor: The Dark World was mediocre. My feelings might change depending on when the director and storyline are announced though.

Should've made this a three way battle for 2017 and included Black Panther.

Out of these choices I'll go with GotG2.

Though I enjoyed Thor, I wasn't wild about Thor 2.

Thor 3. While I like GotG fine and all it's still a space movie and I've never been especially interested in those(SW and Trek included).

Hopefully Ragnarok is the asgardian epic that Thor deserves.

GOTG 2 no question, James Gunn has already proven he can create an incredibly enjoyable movie with these characters, and now with the origin out of the way can develop the next villain more than Ronan was

Thor 3 on the other hand will no doubt have a new unproven director taking the helm and villain screen time cut into by Loki, Dr. Forester and the guirky earth based characters

Should've made this a three way battle for 2017 and included Black Panther.

Yes, in that case I'd have gone with BP as I'll usually go with the new stuff.
Ditto

I voted for GoTG 2.

I'm looking forward to Thor: Ragnarok and I have hope it'll be better than TDW (I liked TDW more than most people here but it was a bit disappointing), but I really love the GoTG characters and I can't wait to see what they'll do next.

Guardians. Both Thor movies have been a bore to me.

Thor simply because I think his movies are underrated. The Dark Word is one of MCU's weakest and the most disappointing but I think the franchise has a lot of potential and Feige knows this so Im extremely curious to see how the next one is gonna turn out.

GOTG was great and the sequel is being made by the same people so its almost a given that it will be awesome so Im not super hyped because I almost know how its gonna turn out.

Guardians. The Thor films are the only ongoing MCU franchise that totally leave me cold.

Guardians 2 by a mile. Thor TDW was such a dud its completely cooled my interest in that franchise

What do you guys think the new Thor film needs in order to be much better than the first two?

It needs to tone down the Loki and give us a villain who doesn't completely suck. One of the main problems with The Dark World was they spent so much time on Loki that you ended up with two new villains who didn't have any personality or motivations. That and it had some serious pacing issues as well.

It also needs to cut down on Jane Foster's comedy squad and actually give the Asgardian characters some proper screentime/development. The Warriors Three (especially poor Hogun who got like TWO MINUTES of screentime in TDW) and Lady Sif have been woefully underused so far. Heck Lady Sif got more development/more to do in one episode of the SHIELD show than she got in both Thor movies combined (and potentially her own archenemy in the form of Lorelei). Even Hemidall and Odin, while they've gotten more to do, could still be better used.

Oh and actually explore the Nine Realms. TDW was a giant tease in that regard. We have multiple franchises in the MCU that currently take place on Earth. Thor has this unique setting/mythology, USE IT!!. It's the same problem that the 2011 Green Lantern movie had and that GOTG was wise to avoid.
