Has there been anything out of Licensing Expo?

It's not about footage not being released, it's about hype, and I feel there isn't much hype.

And there will be hype when there's something to get hyped about. It's rather simple.

Do you understand what I'm saying or are you going to continue telling me what I can or can not say like you tried in the Civil War thread?

Calm down. Nobody in here told you that you can't say anything. You asked a question and got an answer.

I think Mar-Vell will appear in Captain Marvel first if he is showing up.

Gunn isn't a big fan of Nova. I know some fans want him in GoTG but if the director isn't passionate about the character and isn't going to make the best of them then I prefer he not adapt him.

I would rather Nova wait for a director that likes the character and will get the best out of them than force the character on a director who doesn't want to use him.

If they were to do Nova in this movie just put him in a credit scene to tease us for the future of the MCU

A lot of the "hype" was curiosity...GOTG being a risky move. The first movie did so well it doesn't need hype as much. People who loved the first will see it. the footage will be icing and may attract people that weren't sold before

Gunn did a Twitter Q&A. He says that aside from the SDCC presentation, it'll be a while before any trailers are shown. He also said Nebula has a huge role this time.

Hopefully the SDCC trailer gets released then, otherwise it could be a long slog until we see anything.

I'd be surprised if the first teaser isn't with Dr. Strange in November. Which isn't too far off.

I expect a teaser full trailer for Strange. A teaser for Spidey and Ragnarok at comic con. Guardians will likely habe to wait a bit tho, so November sounds good.

Oh yeah the trailer will be with Doctor Strange. No question.

Thor started filming like 3 days ago. No chance for a teaser bit hopefully some concept art.

I thought Thor was already filming with all the news castring a plot details we had.. :/

lol The First GOTG Vol 1 Comic Con Teaser was after 3 days shooting so no problem to show something

Wasn't Guardians of the Galaxy barely shooting before SDCC and yet they brought some footage?

They did, but a lot of it was pre-vis and footage from make up and costume tests. They showed the shot of Rocket shooting from Groot, but I recall Gunn saying that they'd already started some of that CG before shooting started.

It's entirely possible that Thor and Spidey would have footage to show; I expect it will mainly be Strange and Guardians, though. They usually only do two movies.

Spidey will probably be at Sony's panel anyway. I imagine there will at least be a video greeting from the set of Thor.

Didnt Sony say they werent showing at Comic Con this year? Or was that Fox?

Pretty certain Sony don't have a panel scheduled.

Maybe its both? Tbh, Sony has no reason to be there. Just let Marvel handle Spidey stuff.

I really hope Star-Lord puts on his comic/blue uniform in line with Drax, Gamora & Rocket.

His red jacket just... There's too much red on our MCU heroes already. Literally Cap, Iron Man, Strange, Star-Lord, Thor, Spidey, Ant-Man... That's going down Phase 3's release line of protagonists. And all of them in IW together? My eyes.

Bit of a gripe, I just want them to change it up a bit. They have an opportunity to be comic-accurate instead of repetitive, I want Gunn to take it.

Yeah, I wish he had a better costume. The original concept art with the team in their comic costumes was awesome. What we got was kinda bland and uninteresting.

Comic-Con is about promoting more than comic book movies these days. I certainly expect them to want to promote Dark Tower - and probably Magnificent Seven as well (at a minimum).

Oh man I loved that design. Where did it go, Marvel? And yeah, what they settled on was underwhelming - the comics interpretation of it unintentionally shows how plain [it is.]

Now I think Gunn's looking at the jacket as a signature/trademark... ugh.
