Guild Wars

I'd leave my guild..but....

I love the alliance to much :(

Am I going to see any of you this weekend in the Monastery, for Gamers weekend?

I'll be there. Hey, Twilight, I think I went on missions with you. I know I've seen you around Cantha. Are you Kuz or Lux?

...I can't read that Avangarde...I CAN'T!

I still have the other three campaigns to finish first! >.<

I have to get my lvl. 18 Proph Ele into Factions and NF...my Lvl. 20 monk into Proph and NF and my Lvl 14 Mes into Factions and Proph before they can release ANYMORE GAMES! :cmad:

Also..

My Ele has only been in Keinang Center to buy armor, she hasn't gone on any Canthan missions.

My Monk on the other hand..;)
Her name is Lunar Yue Fyodorova I've made it to HzH with her.

My Guild/Alliance is Factions.

If anyone is in a Luxon Guild I'd love to make contact so I can do the Luxon side when I'm done with the Kurzick side.

*I want Luxon Armor for my NF mes when I get there*

Good luck twylight, it may start to turn into a grind for you once you have completed what you intend to do.

Nah, it's never a grind and when it becomes one I just switch characters ^_^

I was planning on buying this game due to the no-subscription fee, yet in the end I believe I’ll go for WoW.

I am seriously considering getting this game. I just finished NWN2, and am looking for my next RPG fix.

I tend to prefer solo games or games I can play with henchmen. Is this possible with this game? Is the AI pretty good with the henchmen?

I used to play EQ quite a bit, and even got my Epic (Paladin), but it took so much time to play and the obligation of performing on raids, etc. it really burned me out. That's why I've concentrated on games I can solo or play with henchmen. If GW isn't the proper candidate, can someone suggest other games out there? I've played the KOTOR I & II, NWN1-2, the Bioware games of BG 1&2, and IWD 1&2. Also played a classic Planescape: Torment.

Yes you can play with henchmen. The number of henchmen you can play with up to 8 (although you can only play with up to 4 initially). It's a good game, I'd recommend it.

You forget Heroes in NF. ;)

If you get Guild Wars Nightfall *The newest and last campaign* each characters gains 'Heroes' as they progress through the game. Heroes are learning AI , you can set their skills, stats, and weapons however you'd like and as you move through the game they pick up on what you expect them to do.

I can take my Mesmer on certain missions and most of the higher Quests with just my Heroe warrior, and healing and protection monks.

They're definitly smarter than the Henchie AI's, and it makes being a Monk MUCH easier, because then you're not dependant on picking up groups or Henchies for every quest.

I still only have the first one.

I might get Night Fall before Factions, because I really want to have heroes with my character.

I actualy now played this game...its fun but i like oblivion better....:whatever:

Never winter knights i like better than this also

My friends got me Factions for my birthday.

I love it, still on the noob island, however.

But i'm thoroughly enjoying it...thus far.

What would you recommend to get after Factions?

I recomend you play Conquer..its a 10x better looking runescape with better gameplay and extras!

Prophecies, i.e. the first one. Most of the speciel events take place at Lions Arch in Prophecies and most players move their characters there after a while anyway. Its a classic and for the future, Eye of the North the extention is based off of Proph ;)

Nightfall to me is very, very boring. Takes for-ever to get anywhere. HOWEVER, you got the 'leveling' game there. Lots of people make characters in Factions because the leveling there is quicker than the other two.
A good strategy is to get Nightfall, and once your character get's to Kaineng Center, transfer over to Nightfall, pick up your heroes and then go back and finish up Factions. The XP rewards in Factions are out of this world and your heroes will level in leaps and bounds if you do a few of the higher XP reward side quests, along with the missions. :)

Nightfall does have two new classes, Paragon and Dervish. *shrugs*

I hardly ever play the special classes. I stick with my Ele, Mes and monk :)

I have returned to the game after a break and I feel very refreshed. I love the new Hard Mode feature they added, really gives the game life again. Working on titles now for Eye of the North, just got "Kind of a Big Deal" :D

Dunno if anyone is interested but......

If you love the Guild Wars miniatures and dream of adding to your family of diminutive companions, you'll want to know about the newest miniature: the Grawl. We'll be offering keys that allow you to acquire this little guy in July and August at local fan shows such as Comic-Con, Gen Con, and PAX. Stop by the NCsoft or ArenaNet booth at any of the shows to see if you can score a key. Quantities are limited and when they're gone, they're gone. One per account, please. Now, don't worry—if you can't make the shows, we'll be offering a chance for you to get a key later on. And European players will soon get information about upcoming local promotions that will allow you to acquire the cute little creature, as well!

Unfortunatly living in Australia restricts me from this, unless someone stops by there booth and grabs one of the free handouts they could always pm me the key code, just a thought :cwink:

How do you play in the hard mode?

Do you have to beat the game first or just create a new character?

You have to beat the game first, that unlucks Hard Mode. HM is easy as long as you are with a balanced group that knows how to hold there builds, it's prefered that you go with your guild.

GW:EN In Game Trailer

I am SOOOOO Excited! I got my Pre-Release Pack today! and I'm working furiously on my titles...>.< So far I've got all of...*one* :csad:

Hehe keep at it twylight, it felt quite rewarding getting all mine, I just hope they will be worth it. GW:EN is looking great.
