My only issue about the logic of the show is that

a) the Internet is taken down apparently in all of New York City, but it isn't already a national emergency that hackers (ridiculously easily) have turned off the web in America's largest city?

b) the CDC, which is trained for absolute worst case scenarios involving viral outbreaks, is so nonchalant about the fact that one of their best field guys keeps saying there is a virus spreading in New York. "Do you know how much red tape there is to do anything about that?"--head of the CDC. WTF?!

c) That Cory Stoll doesn't just take his video to CNN, NBC, or even Fox News, or one of the other countless NATIONAL broadcasts in Manhattan that don't rely on Wi-fi speed to reach their satellites.

....With that said, I really, really like this show. :awesome:

Yes, it is cheesy pulp with characters constantly acting like idiots, but this vision of vampires is freaky, and the added addition of a virus visualized as a disgusting white worm that can craw on your hand like a leach gets to our elemental fears. And for moments like the rat guy being in the sewer and surrounded by vampires or the cold open of this week episode, the actual genuine creep factor makes the wackiness of its idiotic characters charming instead of infuriating.

Sorry! I just couldn't contain the excitement! Someone actually listening on the show? Wow.

I know, right?... I thought maybe some of these idiots migrated from Chester's Mill where the stupidity virus breeds uncontrollable... :o

God, no. Please no! It'll be the end of life as we know it. Seriously cause the Vamps would just take over. You don't make it easy for the bad guys! That's like, rule number one.

that nanny, who got those kids the hell away from Jack Bauer's wife, is probably the best female character at the moment. no stupid comment, nothing annoying. just saw **** for eyes and got the hell out of there. :applaud

I hope Nora snaps out of it soon. that poor hospital could have used her knowledge to end that one vamp. now, they'll be 20+ to deal with.

time for the exterminator to bring out the big guns. :word:

Agreed on all points!

I'm about to stop watching that show. It's going nowhere right now.

normally, I would have agreed with you, but as of the last week's episode, certain things that have happened has regained my interest again... I gotta see how this all plays out as of right now...

So just watched the latest episode. Why didn't the guy believe F when he had video proof of this thing?! Seriously. Would people really be this stupid if something like this were to actually happen? Geez.

Better to ignore a problem than try to deal with one that far out of control. :( From what we've seen, it's already too late.

This show is chock full of asinine responses from characters. Its such a train wreck i have to watch now.

Were the books like this, do you know? Have they changed a lot for the show?

this show started with such promise and it's still there if only we'd get the proper responses and reaction to their situation... they've GOTTA turn it around...

I think part of the hesitation and foot-dragging is coming from the money/bribes/extortion side of the plot to import this vampire virus into the country. Or maybe some of them really are this incompetent and threatening to ruin the entire country (and world eventually) because they can't/won't accept they screwed up in the first place.

Sadly that part is all too believable. It happens in reality too where someone in a position to stop a situation from occuring deadlocks and does nothing or does the wrong thing resulting in large-scale tragedy.

That ish is spreading fast. Loved the "apocalyptic" tone of the episode, with the eclipse. Things are really ramping up.

That's what I don't get! Tonight's episode with the FBI was one of the dumbest reactions I've ever seen to a vampire or anything crazy.

*sigh* It's why I can't stop watching. :csad: This show is addictive as fork and good but they have a ton of WTF moments!

Best episode since the pilot, the effects are really good on this show and you can feel the impending doom setting in, although the completely nonchalant reactions to giant tentacles coming out of peoples mouths still makes me laugh. :D

I wonder how long before Samwise, the gangbanger and the rat catcher with the confused accent hook up with Eph, Nora and father time.

The Nazi vampire is one creepy bastard.

So if the infected came out to bite during the eclipse, how many of them died when the sun came back out?

The writing on this show is pretty bad and yet I've continued to watch every episode. I think its running on the strength of the premise alone, along with the few interesting characters like the old Van Helsing character. But stuff is going to have to really start happening and soon. It's taken so long to for the show to get to the good stuff, i.e. vampire hijinks.

Vasili was my fav character in the books and I Love Kevin Durand so I can't wait till he's in it more

I didn't know Voldemort was going to be in this show.:p

The only real thing I could see having a problem with in tonight's episode was Eph's wife responding to his claim that something bad was coming (and his arrest) by having wine with her gal pal.

Lady. There was just a massive biological event that killed hundreds of people. If your husband who works at the goddamn CDC tells you something is wrong, something is WRONG.
