Half Life 2 EPISODE ONE

WHy because I don't love your beloved Halo 2. :o
No, because you like Killzone, Cold Fear, probably Daikatana and you still praise HL2 even though it's been revealed that it's nothing more than "ride this vehicle along a narrow path to get out, shoot about five people, 'solve' a 'puzzle' and get back in and do it again!"

The best thing I can say about HL2 is that "Lost Coast" gave us developer commentary, which I crave.

No, because you hate Halo 2 and somehow manage to like genre travesty's like Half Life 2 and Killzone :(

Isn't Cold Fear an obscure Sega Saturn game that was an RE style horror adventure?

Hey, wouldn't it be cool if they sold software ahead of console launch? Oh man, I wish they did that.
you mean like blueray DVD's..yeah, those ****ers trick the ignorant masses...

...actually sounds like something I'd do...so honestly

Oh that's right, I'm thinking of Deep Fear (which also took place on a boat with Zombies). Though Cold Fear is a third person RE4 rip off that I have never played... so I'm not entirely sure why WHF included it.

I'm sorry. I meant Cold Winter. A game that sucked so bad I forgot it's name.

But I remembered another. Black, "the PS2s everything killer". Your words. Well, that sucks too. :down

Cold winter had an ok story, but very, very generic gameplay.

It was good for one playthrough.

I was quoting what it was called by the journalists! And I quickly lost interest in it well before the Xbox version was announced, thank you very much. In fact I joined the hate train if you would be so kind as to remember the chain of events.

I told you, I played it, it was pretty good, but it didn't apologize for Half Life 2 profusely enough :o

Oh yeah.

So are you looking forward to Episode Two mayhaps? :o

EDIT: FINE I'LL CHANGE MY AVATAR!

No, I think that episode II description you posted has "over ambitious, underwhelming delivery" written all over it. I might get it if it gets some good reviews, but I'm not going to get sucked into the "Half Life is great omg!1" hype again.

This thread disgusts me.

Half-Life 1 and 2 "suck"? "Genre travesties"? I knew some of the folks on this board have occassionally odd tastes in gaming but this is downright ridiculous. All you jackasses are more than welcome to debate the merits of both games with me anytime.

The Half-Life games are some of the finest titles ever to grace the hands of gamers. Period.

I'll be sure to debate my personal opinion with you Phaser. Oh wait, no I won't, because that's ****ing ******ed.

Anyways, moving away from that, it's a fact that Half LIfe 1 and 2 both suck. How episode one avoids this fate is bewildering to me.

My sentiments exactly...when it comes to summing up your "opinion".

I think now is a good time to point out that I did enjoy Half Life 2 on some level, though I was dissapointed by it, but Half Life 2 Episode One is godly. Spare me your everlasting anger; continue, Phaser.
