I saw my first r rated film with my dad when I was 4. It had boobs, cursing, and blood. Never scarred me.,

too much caulk in this film...

sick, people like boobs not caulk.

Just got back from seeing this with a sold out crowd. I liked it more than I expected to. I went in with lower expectations because of critics reviews and some of the replies on these boards. Sure it followed the same outline as the first film but the jokes were different, as well as the location and plot points. I mean if they strayed to far from the formula that made the first movie a hit then it would turn off fans of the first movie. But following the same pattern as the first movie makes this movie horrible to some. So its not as easy as some people think it is to do comedy sequels or any sequel for that matter.

Anyway, back on topic I enjoyed the movie for what it was, which was a decent sequel to the first movie. The biggest shocker was totally unexpected and Stu's reaction was priceless. Also I didn't expect them to show that stuff the end credits scene. The whole theater was like EWW and laughs. I was disappointed Doug didn't join the gang this time around. Chow was awesome as well. The monkey was also funny to. And of course Alan was great.

It's not as fresh as the first movie but it's very entertaining. Hopefully, if there is a 3rd movie they will do something completely new. As of now I still liked the first one more but the sequel is good. Highly recommended of you enjoyed the previous film!

Man, the strip club part.......zoinks.

Went to watch this flick friday night, it was sold out for the last 3 showings.

We got back earlier from seeing it.

I thought it was very funny. Was it original? Not in the slightest. But were you expecting from something called The Hangover Part II? Just because there is a "part" in the title doesn't mean we're getting The Godfather Part II.

I expected a retread of the first movie with new, more outrageous jokes that may not stand up as well ,but for that first night viewing would be hialrious. I wasn't disappointed. Like Home Alone 2 or Meet the Fockers, it was the same movie in a new, more outrageous setting.

They convinced me that Bangkok was a more shady and screwed up place than Vegas. The way that Kanye's "Monster" crawled into the screen as they drank gave me a sinking feeling, as did the Johnny Cash song. And they delivered on that immediately when they found the boy's finger.

The highlight sequence of the film was obviously [blackout]from when they "bought" that gun, through the amazingly hilarious tranny revelation to Phil getting shot.[/blackout]

Dark comedy gold. The movie delivered about what I'd expect a sequel to The Hangover to be. I'm surprised so many people thought it would be more.

I saw it at 3pm this afternoon and it was completely sold out. And it's Fleet Week in NY, so we had Navy guys in the audience.

I definitely liked the first movie better, but it was still really funny. I agree with DACrowe - [blackout]the whole sequence from the gun to Phil getting shot was probably the funniest part of the film. [/blackout]

Since I'm a big Billy Joel fan, I'm sure I'm never going to hear Allentown quite the same way again either... :wow:

I wouldnt either and that was exactly what I was thinking seeing little 9-10 year old kids running up and down the aisles yesterday. I was like WTF!!! Especially with Stu's whole ordeal and the photos at the end. I seriously don't see how this movie made it with just an R rating to be honest. Knowing the MPAA I can't believe they didn't try to put an NC-17 stamp on it. I bet the unrated version will be crazy though lol

I don't think you understand how the MPAA works. The members of the MPAA are Warner Bros., Sony Pictures, Universal Studios, Paramount, 20th Century Fox, and the Walt Disney Motion Pictures Group. A major movie studio is never going to give an NC-17 rating to one of their blockbusters even if it warrants it. The movies that get slapped with higher ratings are movies from smaller independent studios like the Weinstein Company, Lionsgate, and Summit Entertainment.

I guarantee you that if the Hangover Part II were released as an independent film, it would be an NC-17 rated film. The Dark Knight would be an R rated film if it were distributed by a studio that is not a part of the MPAA. And so on.

Also, does anyone else find it ****ed up how Zach Galifinakis refused to work with Mel Gibson on moral grounds, yet he has no problem working with [blackout]Mike Tyson[/blackout].

Hopefully we will get a post judgement day future war in the 3rd one :P

People on IMDB said the same thing, but I think it's because Tyson's **** happened decades ago, and Gibson's stuff is still kind of fresh. Also, they claim it's some sort of jew conspiracy.

I've had "Time in a Bottle" stuck in my head all day now...

In the end, Mel is just a dick. Tyson is still a convicted rapist. I don't have a problem in refusing to work with Mel Gibson on moral grounds, but don't act like you're taking the high road when you have no problems working with someone much worse. That's just incredibly *****ey.

Point blank, Mike Tyson has become one of those cult celebs that it's cool to have in your thing, as a total random abstract humor piece. Don't know how it happened, but it did.

I did enjoy the darker comedy aspect. This was hilarious , I really enjoyed the beginning, the drug dealing monkey , and the strip club part. There was a little much of using the same jokes though. Almost like they felt the obligation to homage them. I don't mind too much unless they do the third like that. I was laughing the whole time . Audience enjoyed this, cheers and everyone stayed through the photos

7/10

fav line:
"i don't understand whats going on, is this some sort of magic show?"

I liked hearing "Downeaster Alexa " , my favorite Billy Joel song.

Zack takes all the heat for that but the director said several people took issue with it.

Exactly. The only reason Zach gets all the heat is because he was the only one to ever say anything publicly. He's very vocal about his opinions.

...as he again showed recently when he basically put January Jones in her place.

Im pretty sure Mike Tyson went to jail for his crimes...unless convicts should never get a chance to work again

I think it's 2 things

1. Mels actions are very recent and considering how big this film is, letting him "in" would have in a way helped his current situation and or career. With tyson, not only did he do his time but his "career" doesn't need helping at this point, he just is.

2. Tyson never did or said anything to or about jews lol.

He did rape somebody tho :whatever:

The last part was in jest pertaining to Zach.

personally, I think it's hypocrisy mixed with a touch of being on a power trip.
Ergo, the two reasons I listed above.
Zach isn't Jewish, though.
