I'm certain there used to be an OC thread, but the search option on the Hype sucks, so. :o

Anyway....

Californiaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Oh how I miss show.:csad:

Welcome to the OC, *****.

As an OC resident, I hated that show and the MTV reality show that followed.

For the first two seasons, **** yeah. :o

Best part was when whatshername's boob popped out.

To this day, I've only seen two episodes. The one where they showed the Revenge of the Sith trailer during one of the commercial breaks, and the one where the skinny chick died.

I actually enjoyed season 4 the most. At least it ended on a high note for me.

This is one of my favourite programmes ever! The first season was amazing! Got them all on dvd.

Might have to start re-watching it to celebrate the 10th anniversary

That was the first season I ever saw, and it's still the only one I genuinely enjoyed, too. The humor on this show was its strongest asset, imo, and S4 seemed to be the only season to really embrace that. The other seasons were just too generically teen soap-y for me. I blame Marissa. :hehe:

I haven't watched all of the fourth season, but I could believe that it got better without her. Autumn Reeser just seems like a more enjoyable female lead. People blame the show's demise on killing Marissa off, but come on... people started dropping off when S3 started becoming the "Marissa whines about going to public school" hour.

I preferred Taylor over Marissa so I was definitely happy with S4 but I love the series as a whole. I own the whole thing on DVD and usually have some kinda marathon at least once a year. I watch the first 3 or 4 episodes back to back like an awesome teen movie.

I used to watch the show in the start, but gave up. I did see the finale, though.

Oh, this show brings back so many memories. Still remember freshmen year of college and our dorm common room would be filled to the brim with all of us gathered around the nice flat screen to watch every episode. lol

Same here.

First season was great but they dropped the ball in second season (should've kept Anna/Luke in my opinion). Third was just HORRIBLE, I don't think I've gone back and rewatched any episode from that season but the fourth season was quirky and fun.

Damn it's really been 10 years. I like THe OC a lot. Despite how it appeared on the surface (and in some of the actual storylines) it was actually pretty good television.

I just rewatched it a couple of months ago.

I think the 4th season was actually the best too. It wasnt as soap-opera esque as the previous seasons (although it did have it's moments) and the storylines they chose were good for the most part

First season Rachel Bilson was crazy hot.

I wrote this show off at first, thinking it looked dumb, but some people talked me into watching it, so I basically binge watched seasons one and two on DVD before three came on TV. Needless to say, once I started watching, I was hooked and loved it.

I still don't understand how this didn't launch Adam Brody's career into something amazing.

I dont either. He's one of the funniest guys out. He probably got typecast too much

Same here. I had no interest and accidentally got hooked. I started wishing Sandy Cohen would adopt me.

How Josh Schwartz imagines all the characters ended up:
http://www.ew.com/ew/gallery/0,,20302134_20722474,00.html#21371816
-Ryan head of the Newport group, possibly dating Alex aka Oliva Wilde's character
-Seth had Atomic County made into a film where he'll be played by Joseph Gordon Levitt
-Summer is still an activist and married to Seth
-Marissa still dead.

There are others but there are the main 3. The saddest one is Jimmy (Marissa's dad)

It's funny that he mentions OC and Gossip Girl being in continuity, because I seem to recall that teenage versions of Kirsten and Jimmy were supposed to be featured on that show's prequel spinoff, set in the 80s.

luvd this show the first couple seasons then Marissa died and everything went to hell.

I remember him having parts in Thank You For Smoking and Mrs. And Mrs. Smith but they were like basically him playing Seth Cohen in those movies. I think he's going to be in Lovelace with Amanda Seyfried so I hope that revitalizes his career a little bit but I think he has to show some range, he can't just be Seth Cohen in every movie.
