yup , matter of taste there.Retroman said:Usual Suspects bland? X-Men and X2 bland? Oh boy...
As Cameron movies..i would not call that bland.CConn said:Visually they were. The Usual Suspects didn't seem to have any one particular style do it - it was just a mesh of sorta real world colors and themes and whatnot. Both X-Men films have been extremely mellow in their visuals; a lot of blues, greys, darker tones.
who?Maze said:As Cameron movies..i would not call that bland.
now,you can say that he is a better filmmaker than Singer ( for the moment)
Cameron's never really been bland to me, personally. I dunno, the Terminator movies were extremely gritty. And Titantic, being a period piece, obviously had a lot of style to them. If dark, muted colors aren't visually bland, what is?Maze said:As Cameron movies..i would not call that bland.

James Cameron. The guy who directed Titanic and Terminator.xwolverine2 said:who?
I wouldn't really want it any different considering the tone of the story. Imagine Keyser Soze in a red shirt?CConn said:Visually they were. Eh, it can be done. Batman Begins had much the same serious tone as the X-Men movies, yet was still able to infuse some different styles here and there, most notably it's homages to Blade Runner.Retroman said:I wouldn't really want it any different considering the tone of the story. i wanted john moore..... but know after all ive seen id stick with ratnerYup ,and i know that you like Ratner and this movie, and i respect it.
But even if it did get some good reviews , it never hailed Ratner like some kind of genius..and i understand it.
I haven't seen Red Dragon, so I really can't say. But I've always felt the one area of Singer's direction he had to improve on was his visual style. Until, SR at least.Maze said:Well personnally, i find Red dragon really bland visually .
And it has a lot of colors.
it come with the way the camera work is staged , the way the set are explored , what details the filmmaker decided to enhance.the imagination.
i 've never found Singer movie bland ..a little rough in some places in X2 ( but look at this shedule, the money that he had and he was trying to accomplish ) but that's all.
Singer had his homages too in X-Men and the Usual Suspects; Jaws, Casablanca, Star Trek etc.CConn said:Eh, it can be done. Batman Begins had much the same serious tone as the X-Men movies, yet was still able to infuse some different styles here and there, most notably it's homages to Blade Runner.
It doesn't matter, its fake. She said that Mota is playing Stacy X, Leung as Sunfire, and that Sentinels would be outside of the Danger Room.Retroman said:Does anyone haveof X3 saved?Gina's review![]()
