Have the trailers been lacking?

I think that the theatrical trailers for Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 were both among the best I've ever seen -- the music and editing was just phenomenal, and got me stoked as hell to see both movies...

Does anyone else agree with me that the trailers so far have been seriously lacking for Spider-Man 3? In what is presumably the best movie of the bunch (it should be, anyway) I just feel like that "whoa" must see feel isn't there. It looks good, but it doesn't have that epic, must see feel.

When I watched the trailer for PotC I was exhilarated and excited.... Spider-Man 3 doesn't have me feeling quite the same way (although the 7 minute footage does).

Is Spidey 3 just saving the best stuff for the movie (fine by me)? Anyone love or hate the trailers? (I'm talking primarily about the first theatrical trailer, the second one)

fact is that we will get tommorow a 4th trailer with new scenes. and lets not forgetthat already had 2 previews on the tv and a tv spot.

they show a lot of stuff like they always did.

I like Spidey better than POTC (nothing against POTC btw, because I love it too)

But I agree with him.

In my favorite's, it would have to be in this order:

POTC2
SM2
POTC1
SM1

But when POTC3 and SM3 come out, I think it'll be:

SM3
POTC3
POTC2
SM2
POTC1
SM1

So I like Spidey 3 better so far... but in terms of trailers, I like POTC3 trailer better... SM3 trailer was good, but i agree, it was lacking... if they made it more epic and dramatic, then it'd be better...

If it stays true to the novelization- original screenplay- form... might be one of the best movies ever... not just of the SM saga (planned six movies, I believe- but uncertain if SM4 might be two or more years away and if everyone will be back)

Look, the big cliffhanger of Harry discovering Peter's identity was given away in the trailers. A full body shot of Venom would be the equivalent of that. Sadly, it seems we may get that, if the desciptions of the tv stuff I hear is true.

Ones and for all... the new Pirates3 trailer is NOT WOOOOOOOOW!!!!! It's not borring looking aither... but it's DEFINITLY MORE OF THE SAME!!! It didn't get me exited one tiny bit! It's overated stuff (not crap)!

However I have to agree with DieSmiling on this one!... The trailer's for spidey 1 and 2 were so freaken awesome, however the theatrical trailer for spidey 3 didn't quite rank up there for me either... the editing, the music, just the whole feel of the thing (but let me point out that I have NO DOUBTS that the film will kick major ass!!!)... I loved the teaser though, it rocked... But I really hope that SONY is pulling out all the STOPS for the final trailer ariving on friday! It's their LAST CHANCE.........(if you dont count in an obseen amount of TV-SPOTS!!!)

WRONG!.... It was HINTED at in the trailer!... It ended with Harry saying "Let's see who's behind the mask"... It ended with him just about to rip off his mask, but we didn't actually see it... that just left every one thinking, oh man, I gotta see what happens... how will Peter get out of that one!??? Well, he didn't, but you could never really know until you actually saw the flick!...In theory, just as Harry was about to rip off Peter's mask DocOck could've came in the room again (for what ever reason), and Harry might have never had the chance to actually remove it

I certainly didn't as a regular during those times. I thought it would have been one of those cheesy unrealistic scenes where SOMETHING just has to come and interrupt a moment like that and typically no casual would find out his identity. Thankfully, it didn't, and I came back impressed as hell and anticipated for the hyping of the next movie. What was brilliant was that after all the hoping I had done for it, it had actually became one of my favourite story arcs along with some very cool villains for SM3.

AGREED aaaaaaallllllllll the way there dude!... But just remember, it's really just a very small group of people who's actually seen the long 7 minute clip... So, the last trailer in theaters (if it does indeed play in theater!) should really kick major ass, cause everyone going will most likely see that one.

^ Exactly, and that's the point. We have all these trailer's and still it's lacking... well actually, right now, there's only 3! The 3'rd is the one running in theaters with 300, showing Venom grapping spideys head... that seems cool, but I haven't really seen it, other then that crappy youtube version so it's hard to judge... one thing is for sure... the theatrical trailer released back in november was not that good.

Cut the guy some slack.... The trailers have definatley been lacking, (i'm still hoping the leaked trailer is released fully touched up) that would probably make up for the rest. but i definatley haven't seen a trailer that made me as excited as did the SM2 trailer.... The teaser for SM3 got close, but it's not yet there.
