Comedy It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia - Part 2

That was a really fun first part of the crossover, but I was surprised Glenn Howerton was only in the episode for a couple of seconds.

He must have had a schedule conflict.

This actually got me thinking, in light of the Eagles winning the Super Bowl, I wonder if the finale for this season will include footage of the actors at the game again, much like how Season 13 did.

They did one more recently after the Eagles won in 2018, I would assume they'll at the very least reference it this season if they haven't wrapped filming yet.

I think we might be talking about the same episode? The Gang Wins the Big Game, right?

I stand corrected. My sleepy and under-caffeinated brain was thinking of the World Series Defense episode with the Phillies.

There'll no doubt be an "In Memory of" somewhere this season, if not addressed in an episode if they're still filming. Sad.
I think she had finished filming all of her scenes for Season 17 of Always Sunny before she died.

Show of hands who ever thought we’d see an It’s Always Sunny toy set advertised by a company like Mattel?

Since Abbott is on ABC, I wonder if the Sunny episode will allow them to be a bit more crass or even swear a bit more on FXX than however much they do on ABC.

I mean, the show did peak a long time ago but it's still got some gas in the tank. The episode that recapped 2020 was an all-timer IMO. It's not like the show is a soulless husk of what it used to be but it does seem like throwing in the towel soon might not be a bad idea. Even if they want to go to 20 seasons that'd still take them to 2030.

Yeah, I mean, just given the show’s age, it’s kind of a given that it’s peaked already. No one is churning out their best-ever season 15 years in.

It’s still good for a laugh.

Just end it on a movie Glenn.

Reminder that the Season 17 premiere is tonight, so now we'll be seeing the gang's take on their visit to Abbott Elementary!

And gotta say, I don't think this is a spoiler- while I don't watch Abbott, there's something very magical about hearing characters on an ABC show swear unfiltered when they're on FXX.

God, McElhenney’s name change looks so stupid. Praying that this is just a prolonged bit.

Nevertheless, they popped off with these two episodes.

I hope it's a bit. He's been dedicated to bits before, like when he gained a lot of weight intentionally to play Mac out of shape and then lost it again.
