I stopped being pessimistic and focuing on the negative of everything, ie: going "oh i hated such-as-such about the movie" instead of talking about what i liked.

I've had a much happier life since

Running track. I still run on my own, but not professionally on a team. I'm competitive, but when it comes to that, I need to do it on my own pace. In other words, they were faster than me.

I'm too stubborn to give up on things...I see giving up as failure. Now if I am forced out of the pursuit (ie lose the girl I'm chasing to a jerk or something) I will respectfully bow out, but it doesn't mean I won't try later if its something I really want.
