I saw the below picture and thought that poor girl. lol But have any of you ever thrown in the towel?

Yes.

edit:  I didn't even notice. I was told once by a complete stranger to stop cursing. :( My mind doesn't even register it anymore. Funny pic

I'd edit it. Ya can't post pictures that don't censor f**k.:o

I gave up on life and became the new ruler of the hellish underworld. :o

Yeah I've I threw in the towl on Baseball it was a shame I quit that sport.

Ive stopped cursing because it is pointless and stupid

I have a hard time not giving up on stuff

I stopped being pessimistic and focuing on the negative of everything, ie: going "oh i hated such-as-such about the movie" instead of talking about what i liked.

I've had a much happier life since

Running track. I still run on my own, but not professionally on a team. I'm competitive, but when it comes to that, I need to do it on my own pace. In other words, they were faster than me. :o

don't get too comfortable. If you do you'll fail to notice when the world turns into an oppressive police-state that takes away all your freedoms and democratic rights.

good thing that hasn't happened yet.:o

I'm too stubborn to give up on things...I see giving up as failure. Now if I am forced out of the pursuit (ie lose the girl I'm chasing to a jerk or something) I will respectfully bow out, but it doesn't mean I won't try later if its something I really want.

If I lose the girl I'm chasing to a jerk, I become disgusted with the girl that she would chose that jerk over me and I fail to find her desirable any longer.

That's not giving up, it's shifting priorities.

That's actually a better way of putting it...

I've pretty much thrown the towel in on trying to convince Hubby to do anything he doesn't want to do... It's usually not worth the effort of the argument. I just do it (whatever it is) without him.
