BvS Have you seen the movie multiple times? If yes, has your opinion changed?

Well, just got back from my 3rd viewing not too long ago. I'm ready to give my final thoughts. I'm sorry...... My thoughts are going to dissapoint a lot of you. This movie..... This movie was pure..... EPICNESS!!!!!



Was I the only one that thought Superman looked

totally at peace when he "died". He looked at peace when Lois was with him and holding him, but I guess he should since right before he told Lois this was his planet, his home, and he loved her, before rushing over to give Doomsday the final blow, it was like he finally accepts that no matter what he does people will cheer for him, some people will hate him, good metaphor for the society we live in today

I forgot about this thread, came back to check the votes and holy crap. People have spoken loud and clearly. 103 in positive vs 20 in negative at the time of this posting. I did not count those who only saw it once and those who won't see it. I'm truly surprised.

I loved it the first time. Got better second time. Was able to catch new things I missed the first time. Have seen it several times and still enjoy it. Gets me really excited for Justice League.

I watch it, love the movie, come to Hype, start to wonder if I imagined it being better than it was. Go back to watch it again, renew my love for the movie, come to Hype, start to wonder again if I was imagining things. Rinse, repeat. I have watched it 4 times now and enjoyed it every time except when I saw it in IMAX. They had the volume up to Metallica concert levels which was stupid...ya know, I like my hearing, thank you.

This movie was terrific! What does everybody want? Batman was a BIG dude for the first time in movie history! Accurate! Michael Keaton was what, 5'8", 150 lbs..., seriously? Christian Bale didn't bulk up and looked pretty anorexic....sorry, TDK was a great movie but Christian was really scrawny. He wasn't the least bit frightening. Affleck, on the other hand?...he looked like he could kick some a��**!!!

FINALLY they show Batman paying his dues in the weight room, wearing the right batsuit, AND he was SCARY for the first time in movie history!

How is everybody complaining after sad efforts like "Batman Returns", "Superman Returns" (the lesson here is avoid anything with 'returns' in the title), "Batman and Robin", etc. Finally, Batman isn't a shrimp, isn't a joke, and isn't dressed in a wetsuit.

The main problem with BvS is the "Gone with the Wind" drama syndrome that began with Christopher Nolan. The other was the length...get on with it!!!! Lois throws the spear, looks for it, walks around...and dragged out dialogue.

Man, I can't wait until this comes to blu Ray! I am so grateful somebody at least got it 90% right!!!

I've only seen it once, so far, and it was my first 3D movie (aside from educational IMAX films) and I really liked the 3D more than I thought I would.


I know I liked it because I immediately wanted to rewatch it. The only Comic Book Movies I've felt that way after my first viewing were The Dark Knight Trilogy and Watchmen. I didn't rewatch Man Of Steel until late last year, it didn't really wow me the first time, but I have since grown to really like and respect it so much more. All five of those movies, I have watched probably 5 or 6 times apiece, and liked them more and more every time. I assume the same will be true of BvS, it kept my interest the entire way through, it left an imprint on me, left me wanting more, and I know there's a lot more to pick up on and appreciate on my second watch. I'm gonna save my second watch for the Director's Cut, and I can't wait for that, I was so happy to hear there is going to be an extended cut

Six times and it's in my top five of the genre, in its present form. Depending on how different the Ultimate Cut is when it finally gets released, it could end up being my number one.

Indeed, I noticed that right away and I'll give Snyder credit for keeping the Christological motif going when it's appropriate. The fact that he went into battle against something that could kill him with a weapon that was already killing him was the very definition of sacrifice. No one can say that Superman isn't selfless in this films.

I own and have seen them all. Hey, I like Bale. He just doesn't even come close to looking physically intimidating, sorry. He looks cool....just not scary. Yeah, he's a little pumped in the training scene and the one where he does the 13 push-ups in BB. I think the dude's got an eating disorder. He loses weight for these roles, (The Machinist, Rescue Dawn) I'll give him that!

Oh yeah while we're on the subject...Bane from TDKR..ha ha ha. 5'8"!?!! I thought these guys were serious actors? Lift some freakin' weights! Look at Tom Hardy's skinny arms when he delivers the line, "I've come to fulfill ra's al ghul's destiny."

That doesn't cut it for me. Just my opinion. Anyone who enjoys those movies and actors, more power to them. Enjoy. Prior to BvS, TDK was #1 for me!

I'm just stoked to see the first real intimidating, scary interpretation of Batman on screen! Batman gets up, pulls a knife out of his own chest, then growls and sinks the knife into the guy who stabbed him after first slamming him into the wall! Epic! Badass!

I wouldn't call him anorexic, but he's certainly smaller and less intimidating. There was often also too much light on him. Batman is a lot more threatening when he's in the shadows, or at least partially concealed.

Bale looked fantastic in the Begins suit. He looked huge. Now, not as big as Ben, because Ben is a wider and taller guy, at on those shoulder pads he has in the suit and the boots that give him an extra inch or two (Zack said this) of course he will look ever bigger.

I watched the film twice, and my rating remains unchanged based on viewings. It's been a steady 6 out of 10 for me.
The only thing that begins to erode how I feel about the movie is when I try to explain it to people, and the holes and the flaws just shine through as I explain to them the things they need to overlook to enjoy it.

Not hating on it, but I'm just stating my honest opinion. My children enjoyed it, so I'll still get it on Blu-Ray, and no doubt, have to watch it at least 10 more times. After that, I may hate it. That's most things, though.

Score went up from 7.5/10 to 8 after a 2nd viewing, I liked it even more 2nd time.

Saw it second time a few days back, the parts which I thought were weak and bad looked worse in second viewing while the good parts became even better in my second viewing so overall, my score stays the same as I had rated it initially, 7/10. but, if I was not a fan of these characters, maybe I would have given a 6/10 rating.
