Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader

The rematch is going to be GLORIOUS. My money's on Vader taking off the mask during the fight which will be brutal for Obi-Wan.
I dont think he'll take off the mask but hey, if they do i just hope it's done ritght and worth it. I always thought Vader wouldnt survive long without the suit.

I think their duel will be more brutal than the one we saw in ROTS. More emotionally charged for sure, i think Obi-Wan will suffer greatly.

I have low expectations for the rematch fight. I loved the ROTS duel so it would be hard to top that for me. I’m not expecting much in terms of action. I would much rather have some sort of character analysis of both Anakin and Obi-Wan than an attempt at some epic fight scene that might fail miserably.

After Vader's rebel massacre in Rogue One, Luke obliterating the droids in The Mandalorian Season 2 finale and pretty much every fight between Rey and Kylo in the Sequel Trilogy, it's safe to assume whatever the folks at Lucasfilm have cooked up for Obi-Wan & Vader's rematch will be POWERFUL to say the least.

People can love or hate the movies and shows as a whole but the lightsaber use has been fantastic since 2015.

Well so far Hayden’s performance as Darth Vader is spot on terrifying as it should be. I’m happy he has the imposing stature and presence in the suit.

I’m equally happy to have James Earl Jones reprising his role once more as the voice of The dark Lord. Bonechilling to the core along with the signature breathing nose. Omg!!!

That fight scene was pretty much what I was expecting. There will probably another one, maybe longer, in the last episode. But I’m not expecting a long drawn out duel like we got in ROTS. You can’t really do that on a TV budget and have it look as great as a movie.

that was a tease. No doubt the real duel will be on equal footing. One last good duel from General Kenobi: The Negotiator .

so its Hayden walking around in the suit ? no clue didn't follow the production

It has too in order to match up with the original trilogy

I mean I believe there will be another duel, probably in the last episode, but I don’t expect it to be as “epic” as in ROTS or ANH. The duel in ROTS was a solid 10 minutes. I don’t think you can do that on a TV budget.

I will try to avoid spoilers here
Well not looking good so far. Only 3 episodes left so if that was the rematch of the century then I stand by my initial statement of pathetic. If this is the precursor then I am still laughing at how it concluded.

That was clearly not supposed to that supposed battle. This was meant to emphasize how Obi Wan has grown weaker after cutting himself off from the Force for ten years, hence why Vader was pretty much winning the whole fight.

Swear to god some of you are so eager to complain about something that you don't even take the time to think on what you're criticizing.

THIS.

It's simply a pre-amble... Obi is running scared, tired, hurt. Vader was teasing, trying to punish Obi-Wan.

Ironically, their fight in Mustafar always left me rather cold lol. So it wouldn't be hard for them to top that duel for me, even with a lower budget. I mean the duels in TESB and ROTJ, even with their less intricate fight choreography, both still easily outshine the climactic one in ROTS imo. Anyways I think I might have to catch up with this. A few clips I've seen have left me very impressed with their handling of Vader.

The ANH fight is awful. It's the one thing that makes no sense at this point. Vader's vastly improved fighting in ESB already made it stand out like a sore thumb in 1980. With each subsequent Star Wars episode it got worse.

I don't need the rematch to be as visually dazzling as the ROTS one. I don't think it should even try to be...let that be the epic one. You can't top two in their prime Jedi duking it out on a lava planet and the weight of all of that. Narratively speaking this is all bonus material that we never even thought we would get.

But, what I would love in their next encounter is for it to be more dialogue heavy. I always wished there was more back and forth of that than what we got on Mustafar. Something better than "from my point of view.. !" anyway. :oldrazz:

I predict Vader and Kenobi will have one more duel. Maybe Kenobi doesn't beat him, but he gets the better of Vader. Kenobi will hopefully finally connect with Qui-Gon and find the introspection he's been looking for. Maybe Kenobi can have a Hearts on Fire type montage.

To me, this show is about Kenobi restoring his faith. A beaten down, depressed, older, and rusty Kenobi finding the strength to be a Jedi again. Ultimately, we have to see Kenobi have to get to this point. He has found a balance in himself again. He is older, but he still has strength.

I would like for Obi-Wan and Darth Vader's next duel to be like this:
