HBO's Boardwalk Empire - Part 1

Nucky agreed to the terms but then immediately called Bader to get Chalky out of town. He was trying to help Chalky despite the "terms." Then Nucky found out that Bader was talking to Narcisse and probably gave Chalky up, so he tried to call and warn him.

Ohh, okay. That makes sense, thanks!

Well to be honest, how could he have known about Bader and Narcisse? And he already told Eli that he'd be dealing with Bader in this episode. I think Bader is as good as dead. Wouldn't be surprised if they pin all the new heroin in town on him, posthumously of course. Time to have Richard get him to write another confession/suicide note ala' James Neary in season 2.

God I love that scene.

I'm in episode 4 of Season 4 right now, and while i found the Jimmy kind of annoying i think i miss that plotline, and for some reason the show after seems a bit depressing. Nelson is one of my favorite characters, but i'm not sure what the writers are trying to do with him now, he was this badass member of the FBI there to antagonize the liquor business, and now he's an awkward gangster afraid of the big guns.

^In regards to Nelson, just wait til you get to episode 9...or is it 10? Well, it's one of those two.

Had to bump this bad boy to the main page.. season finale on Sunday! What do you guys think will happen?

Something memorable no doubt. :)

Is the finale an hour or longer?

Seems like this will be a packed episode regardless.

As far as I know it is the usual time. :)

Spent this week catching up on the new season and now I'm all caught up.

I got to say, this season has really matured compared to the wild wild west of last season. I love Dr. Narcisse as a villain, he's definitely the opposite of Gyp Rosetti. Love all the Richard Harrow moments and I think episode 5 may be one of the best episodes they've ever done. Dat ending.

Can't wait for tomorrow's season finale.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT RICHARD!!!!!!!

Interesting finale. Where as season 2 and 3's finale told the end of the tale for each respective season, this year's felt more like season 1's finale, in that it is part of a multi-season arc and this was kind of the cliffhanger/transition episode.

They've certainly setup an interesting premise for season 5. Eli is in Chicago, with Van Alden, no less. Capone is now running Chicago. Nucky has usurped Eli's family (perhaps unintentionally, but never-the-less, it happened just as Eli predicted), meanwhile Rothstein has usurped Nucky's. Further, the Doctor is going to be a permanent fixture in A.C., with the FBI's backing, no less.

I look forward to seeing where everything goes. It feels like for the first time in 4 years, all of these seemingly disjointed stories are coming together. Something tells me season 5 is going to be as explosive as season 2 was.

Wow. Did not see the outcome of this ep at all.

Sad to see Harrow go. Glad they gave him that moment of peace. Others have had much worse.

That was an intense fight with Eli. This season has had some of the most insane one on one brawls on tv.

Damn it that was a terrible way to end that character's story

GOD DAMN SON OF A - GAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH, I HATE THIS SHOW!!!! :cmad::cmad::cmad:

R.I.P. Richard Harrow.

Jack Huston for Jesse Custer in the new Preacher TV series

Welp...
there goes my favorite character. At least with Jimmy I felt like the entire season was leading up to it. This death just kinda... happened.

Damn it that was a terrible way to end that character's story

Yeah, I wasn't too happy about it tbh.
Im sure there was a stronger way to send him off. That was a pretty ****** thing to put on the character right before his death. With his storyline this season, the wrong target is the last thing that character would have wanted. They spent most the time developing change for him. I get what they were doing, he had to sacrifice what he knew was wrong for the kid and family and that mistake cost him. But it kind of came off too contrived to build the character a flaw just for one moment thats more for other characters storylines besides his family. He doesn;t really have much to with Chalky and Nuck anymore.

I dont think he needed to be the shooter there. The show just didn't have a role for him anymore. But yeah, he deserved a stronger last ep regardless a happy ending or not. Def Could have been worse though. At least he got his family out and I did like his final moment, but man they just cant let anyone get what they want and survive.
Overall good ep though! Cant wait to see what goes down with The Capones.

Rest in Peace Mr. Harrow.

Quite a surprising finale. Did not see that coming at all.

That was traumatizing. Not healthy for a show to have this kind of effect on me.

Well damn they killed a lot of people on TV this Sunday, considering Games of Thrones isn't even on.

Good finale but so many questions remain like did Capone setup Torio? Did he set up Capone? Poor Mabel, and Richard and does that finally close the book on Jimmy's storyline? Then all the main characters are all left in this transition

I hope Richard and Jimmy are having a drink in the afterlife together. Whether it be heaven or hell.
