It was a great little episode. It reminded us why we liked Nucky and Margaret in the first place after both being very cold for much of this season. Great scenes between Nuck and Eli as well.

And who doesn't love seeing Richard Harrow showing his humane side and trying to live a normal life? And who doesn't even love it more when the "Tin Man" comes out after he feels threatened?

And Gillian? Yeah, that was creepy.

Geez, the ticking clock in Gillian's house was crazy annoying. She has a hell of a bathroom though...shame about the mess.

I loved the scene with Gyp's family. I wonder what it would take for him to unleash his violent temper of them, or are they immune? Maybe he had a bigger family, but they get gradually smaller as he has more tantrums. I like how the show does it's subtitles in bright yellow, it's really handy.

Gotta love Harrow. The way he delivered the "I'll kill you" line was beautiful. And I do want to know if there's a crocodile boy. Worth a nickle, for sure.

He would never unleash his violent temper on them. At heart, he's a mamma's boy. That is why he acts so tough and is so insecure. He is afraid the whole world views him as weak and silly as his family does at the table.

Now that right there, is a damn good analysis.

Used to be that on mother's day, all mafia activity would stop, since every mafioso went to their mama's for the day.

Good ep last night. I too liked the scene with Gyp and his family.

And Gillian. OOOh Gillian. You sexy evil person you. :o

so wait a minute Im confused, in the next episode preview they show richard harrow reacting to jimmies death but I thought a couple episodes back he pretty much told nucky he wont come after them because jimmy choose to die that night without help.

Haven't watched the preview but is it not possible that he's reacting to Gillian's messed up antics, her way of saying "goodbye" to Jimmy, rather than going through his own delayed grief for Jimmy?

You might want to spoiler your own post too. Some people don't watch previews.

I enjoyed Margaret's character when it looked like she was embracing Nucky's criminal side (a nice change from the other half always being disgusted when they find out something "bad").

But then she started to be a ***** to her staff, and then got worse after Emily was struck by polio. Can't stand her now.

I'd say they deserve each other. She's no saint.

Not anymore, anyway. Margaret was pretty innocent to begin with, but her time with Nucky has slowly corrupted her. Perhaps with a more honest man she would have continued down the path of righteousness. Gradually, with a morally twisted fellow, she's pushed her limits. It's been pretty interesting watching her struggle and the kind of "If you can do it, I can to" justification she seems to use.

Also interesting is that Nucky has also grown gradually more devoid of decent morals. The two character's decline run in parallel with one another, I just wonder how far each will go. Will Margaret commit murder? Will Nucky go so far as to kill his own family? (I don't fancy Eli's chances)

Nice episode. And a great rebound from last week, which I didn't think was that good. Gillian's descent into madness this season is fun to watch, but honestly, I don't really care if we ever see her again.

Harrow is awesome. Nice to see him getting some focus after Jimmy has been offed. Hopefully they don't kill him off quite yet.

The Dynamic between Eli and Nucky is fun to watch. I thought the whole dinner sequence on both fronts (Thompson's and Harrow with the war vets) were done great. Nice to see Nucky's softer side. I wouldn't be surprised if Nucky kills Owen, however, that would obviously be highly hypocritical

Every time I think Eli probably will die, they have a brotherly moment and it staves off the inevitable. I don't know if he will die(by Nucky's hand), but I could see the rest of Eli's season as a sort of redemption road. Starting with the Tabor Heights business.

Like Harrow taking Jimmy's words to heart, Nucky has, too. You can't be half a gangster anymore.

Well, I am sorry to see Billie go. That was a great episode in any case just for Gillian and Nucky to finally confront each other. It also looks like Chicago is about to get crazy.

I keep arguing with my dad about this vs The Sopranos. Sopranos just NEVER had the balls this show does. I never understood why nobody just blew up Tony's house or shot it up or ****ing something ya know? This show though? They go there and it's just ****ing beautiful

Speaking of which, I just shared this thought with my dad after he brought up Margaret's infedelity

"Oh yea, that'll come to a head at some point but right now I just think Nucky is gonna be distraught over Billie. Billie was somebody he could manipulate and control unlike Margaret. Margaret challenges Nucky's beliefs and convictions and honestly even though that's what he needs he really doesn't want it. His entire marriage to her was a power play and just someone for him to take care of then he found this young naive piece of actress ass. He's gonna burn Atlantic City to the ground to get at Gyp Rosetti after this"

This episode ****ing blew me away. Quite literally

It sucks about Billie. I liked her character, and I thought she was extremely hot. :argh:

Yeah, it always sucks when the HOT ones die.:p

Well, at least the ponies were cute. :p I had no idea Shetlands were that small.

Can't say I enjoyed Billy's character, but it looks like her character's death will finally get things going in a big way so she was worthwhile in the end.

Loved it when Van Alden went postal on his colleagues, those ****ers had it coming. :o
