I knew it was coming the very moment he gave the Feds what they wanted. His whole world came crashing down it was only right for him to follow.

He's been such a wuss. I'm waiting for the bad assery to come out of him again like it did with the iron scene but for good this time. It's beyond frustrating to see him act like the cowardly lion all the time.

I think it will pay off though. His frustration is building, so by the end of this season he'll probably go ape**** and kill a lot of people.

ahh...

Wow, that was a fantastic episode. It was like everything great about the previous 3 seasons all tightly rolled up into a masterpiece.

I'm loving Van Alden being our in with Capone's rise. What happened was nuts, also very sad with poor [BLACKOUT]Eddie[/BLACKOUT]. I liked him so much, it's also crazy about his past. He honestly didn't give them anything (I assume they knew that was a Capone for the pickup)... but he knew he might crack in the future.

That FBI guy is a ****, he better get blasted soon.

Yeah... Gillian was hovering the line of annoying when Jimmy was around. Now she just needs to OD, like the crack ****e she is...

I think it was a good way for the show to follow through with the eddie story line they've built up.

While he was probably too qualified to simply be nucky's butler he wasn't really made out to deal with the criminal under-world. He was just too caught in the middle.

I'm not sure he planned to top himself until the socks. What he saw as a betrayal was one thing, not living up to his responsibilities (albeit involuntarily) was another, but the socks, if you'll forgive my phrasing, are what I think pushed him over the edge. The final point seemed to strike him particularly hard on top of everything else, and everything he was crashed down in that moment.

Great episode all in all, damn sad ending though. Eddie was one of the rare sympathetic characters in the show.

I think he realized he knew had to go the moment he betrayed nucky essentially. Aside from his personal emotions betraying him he knew his relationship with nucky would be over or worse as soon as nucky found out he rolled on him.

Not to mention hearing about how his son had changed his last name in shame had to have played a big role as well.

Ok, just watched the first 5 episodes in a mini-marathon. Damn, I am loving this season. It's less focused on a central antagonist like last season was but that's fine since it's giving more time to all the subplots and side characters and I love that since so many of the characters are good and enjoyable to follow. Just kinda bummed now because I have to watch the rest at a snails pace of the week to week.

I never disliked the Margaret character(though she would never be among my favorites). At some points she was quite interesting. But when it seemed like they ran out of things to do with her then she gotta go. If they have a good idea of how to use her in future episodes then I say welcome back Margie. Glad Richard's back next episode.

Indeed, I never had an issue with Margaret either. She wasn't a wily criminal or bad ass lawman, but she added another level to the show. Seeing the world from a non-crazy woman's perspective was interesting.

glad to see wes anderson frame some of the shots in the latest episode

I liked seeing her slide from innocent victim down the line of questionable morality(and I'm talking about the non-sexual sins she was involved in). It's just that at some point she stopped and was only about her having an affair.

It just annoyed me to no end that Nucky should be that much of a dick about when he was screwing anything that moved... :(

I like that in this season he seems to be more in control of his libido. Case in point when he ditched that blonde lady who was just using him to further her career.

I thought he was gonna have it off with Patricia Arquette's character in Florida, but nothing happened. Unless he goes back there...

Yeah this still have that plot thread to resolve, with that friend of Nucky's who murdered that Southern gangster.

That guy was a moron. Going in and trying to tough guy a much larger man without so much as bringing a gun or backup.

Just saw that Cannavale won the emmy for season 3. Yeah, I can get behind that. He was outstanding last season.

Just came across this and knew I had to post it:

Looks like Margaret is back tonight. Looking forward to the episode.
