He-man Sequel Series (Netflix)

Yes...

Bring on Hordak at some point.

This is like MOTU as interpreted by the Thundercats team from the 80's and I'm so there for it.

I think some more time is needed to distant it from She-ra. Horde Prime is such a fantastic villain, and the resultant Hordak moment is so great, that I think going back to Hordak would be a mistake.

It's a simple concept really, for a franchise to be dead people have to be doing nothing with it, that clearly was not the case for MOTU, if it was getting comics, still had toys made, had games regardless of what their quality that still isn't nothing.
It's not hard to understand
That was the long way around to admitting Masters of the Universe had no current culture relevance outside of the shows that trigger sexist manbabies on the internet.

There is an opportunity with the new cartoon to be an important cultural milestone. To pick up the ball that was dropped HARD by Voltron. To have the kind of impact that Korra, Steven Universe, and She-ra had.

Definitely shouldn't be this show, because Kevin Smith has lost his right to write about such issues.

I'm curious, as someone who's just never had an interest in watching Kevin Smith stuff, what makes you say that last bit? Is it the Chasing Amy issues I've heard so much about or something else?

You wanna deny facts go ahead, it ain't my problem

the toys were always bigger than the tv-show. It was created to sell more toys (to boys)

do a lot people watch the sequel series, who didn’t grew up with the toys and the original series?

That's something only netflix knows and they havent said anything yet about how well its doing. Though I dont think it's been in the Top10 yet?

How would anyone possibly know that? That said, considering the reaction to She-Ra from the "real fans", I guess not. That show was more then successful enough, and the biggest culture footprint the franchise has had since the 80s.

I would not be surprised if a bunch of She-ra fans watched it based on the reactions of those who bashed She-ra.

I thought someone literally just posted an article saying the next five episodes have a while lot of He-Man? Now it's Evil Lyn's story? OK.

I do remember Kevin Smith saying this was a show all about He-Man... and the first five episodes, aside from the first, it definitely was not lol. I also noticed he hasn't spoken about He-Man in over a week. I wonder if Netflix told him to stop talking about it or if he just decided to himself.

I'm still going to watch the next five and hopefully enjoy them more than the first five.

The biggest disappointment for me was, that Skelletor/Mark Hamil was in just two scenes

He’s busy filming Clerks III the moment

I just did a quick google search and boy, that is even cooler than a video game.
I was completely left in the dark about this, so thank you @Sithborg .
That looks really cool, i need to get my hands on this.

As a follow up, CMON has been doing marketing to get ready for the Kickstarter here in 3 weeks. Sending out prototypes of the base game out for unboxings and playthroughs. And while most of the extra stuff stretch goals will be saved for the kickstarter, they did drop this tid bit of what is coming.

That is a 9 inch tall model of Castle Greyskull, fully designed to be part of the game. Prep your wallets.

So He-Man is alive. Good
