EU ONLY Special Edition.:cmad: :(

It comes in a fancy gatefold cover, treated to make the textured raindrops appear "real", includes a promo code for the game's DLC, some cute (and bloody) little origami and a big fold-out covered in notes, which in the best case will be helpful solving the game's mysteries, worst case will look nice on the wall of a Heavy Rain fan.

Thats pretty cool. If the review is good thats what ill be getting i think.

That cover makes me hate the American one so much more. But whatever, it's what's inside that will ultimately count. Maybe I can take the cover image off the box somehow when I get it. :oldrazz:

They will have the EU cover available for DL for us yanks when the game comes out.

So, you actually get a replicate of the bloody origami piece? Ah, that's cool. Though I feel kind weird for thinking that's cool

For download? So... we can print it and stick it over our US cases or something?

Just like they did for Madden 10. It's a full cover front and back. You slip the crappy US one out and put the awesomer EU one in.

That's so dumb. Why not just give us the EU cover in the first place?

That's stupid, though. Who's gonna print out a sheet of paper and stick it on their PS3 box? I imagine it'll look cheap and flimsy.

Yeah, it probably would with just regular printing paper. You'd probably have to get a different type of paper. I won't be doing it myself, I like the EU cover better, but I don't care all that much. I guess it's alternative for people who hate the NA cover with a vile-inducing passion

I don't care enough to spend the money on glossy paper and all that nonsense. But I guess it's nice that they offer the option.

Would be better if the US marketers just had better taste, but whatever.

I'm going to do it, only because I have some extra 8x10 photo paper.

Because it looks dumb and it doesn't convey the mood of the game as well as the EU box art. The US version's too busy, with all the newsprint and junk. The EU version is elegant and quiet, better reflecting the ominous nature of the game's plot.

[americanconsumers] duuuuuh, look at the pretty lady, duuuuuh :awesome: [/americanconsumers]

Apparently Amazon has this as the official US cover. I guess the other one I posted was tossed out.

Any of my EU friends want to trade covers?

I don't get you guys. I think this cover is much better then th EU cover.
The EU is too simple. The black and white photo kind if gives a feeling that I can't put my finger on. I'm going to do some research on this syle of advertisment. Its more then just boobs.

i dont care about it honestly, as long as the game is good I could care less about the box art

http://www.joystiq.com/2010/01/18/david-cage-doesnt-want-to-do-a-sequel-to-heavy-rain/

According to a second-hand report from TheLostGamer, the latest issue of Official PlayStation Magazine UK contains a concrete answer from Quantic Dream founder David Cage about the possibility of a sequel to Heavy Rain. "I don't want to do a sequel because I've said what I had to say about these characters and this story," Cage explained, later adding, "honestly, I have nothing else to say."

If Quantic Dream wants Heavy Rain to provide a cinematic experience, it certainly makes sense not to drag the proceedings out over the course of a few games. Besides, it would be simply unfeasible for Heavy Rain 2 to import every single decision you made in first game. How's it supposed to remember every time we chose to juggle, watch TV and eat sandwiches instead of searching for our poor, kidnapped child?

You could just call it Heavy Rain: Insert other title here?

Sequels dont have to have the same characters in it.

damn you Europeans! I wonder what goes into a decision to bring over a deluixe edition to one territory over the other.

First Heavy Rain review is in.

It got a 9/10 from OPM UK.

That is pretty impressive seeing how the UK usually is pretty hard to please when it comes to scoring. They are legit. lol Not like America where we hand out 10/10 like its candy. :D

Looking forward to seeing more reviews!

I actually won't be surprised if the scores end up higher for the European areas. This seems like something that will end up appealing more over there.

Probably sales prediction.
