I don't get you guys. I think this cover is much better then th EU cover.
The EU is too simple. The black and white photo kind if gives a feeling that I can't put my finger on. I'm going to do some research on this syle of advertisment. Its more then just boobs.
That wasn't the cover posted a while back. I agree, that cover isn't too bad. The one we saw earlier was the origami piece in front of a bunch of newspaper headlines that effectively told you bits of the game's story.

no surprise but Europe is getting a bundle

Am I the only one thats avoiding reading anything about this game? Ive specifically avoided reading previews from gaming sites and kept my viewing of images and trailers to a minimum.

Wow. I guess that gets straight to the point...lol. I definetly dont see something like that flying over here in the US

I really tried, but I read the ESRB details.:csad:

Even though it spoiled some seemingly big things, it made me even more excited to play it and I was already extremely hyped for it in the first place.

I read things now and then if I see them and I don't think they'll reveal too much about the story of the game. But I don't go seeking out every scrap of information I can find or anything. I want the game to feel at least somewhat fresh when I play it.

Heavy Rain has you taking control of a number of playable characters. However, the game will only put you in the shoes of the heroes tracking down the elusive "Origami Killer." In an interview with French site gameblog.fr, game director David Cage revealed that players will be able to play as the villain in an upcoming DLC episode of the Heavy Rain Chronicles.

Other episodes of the Heavy Rain Chronicles will serve as prequels to the main game. For example, the already-revealed taxidermist scene will explain why Madison Paige is an insomniac. Additional episodes will focus on the other characters in the game, with another revealing how Norman Jayden became addicted to drugs.

The taxidermist episode will be about an hour long, and it's likely all future episodes will be as well. Cage didn't go into details on when the episodes will be delivered or how they will be priced. Depending on the success of these episodes, Quantic Dream may want to pursue even more prequel stories, considering a sequel simply doesn't seem likely.

Buried deep within comment contest replies in a post on the European PlayStation Blog, SCEE PlayStation Store team member Mike Kebby reveals a demo for Quantic Dream's Heavy Rain is heading our way February 11th. Today's PlayStation Store update on the Euro PlayStation Blog contained a comment contest to win free dynamic themes, so finding the exact comment in the post is much like searching for a needle in a haystack. Luckily we have reader Jorge to show us the way, along with the fact that comments from Sony staff are listed in black instead of white. The comment simply reads: "Heavy Rain demo should be on the store on the 11th of Feb :)."
Quantic Dream had indicated as early as August of 2008 that a demo for the game would be made available, so the comment certainly rings true. Besides, they don't just hand out spiffy black commenting privileges to anyone.

Two bits of awesome news. Playing as the villain should be pretty interesting, and I am all over that demo when it comes out. :hehe:

I have kept away from almost everything from this game. I have watched one trailer and that is it. Usually with video games I can keep away from any spoilers and be surprised with a game.

With movies.....I spoil my self silly.

Can't wait to get Heavy Rain, already pre-ordered and ready to go.

Have there been any pre-order specials for this? I might as well pre-order it, since it's one of the few games I'm absolutely certain I want to buy.

Cant wait for the demo. If i like it im defo gonna pre order. I really want the heavy rain dynamic theme regardless though. its freakin awesome sauce!

Oooh. Definitely pre-ordering that from GS on the way home from work. I needed to renew my discount card/GameInformer subscription anyway.

The DLC you get for pre-ordering the title in general, not only Gamestop, just for future reference

Yeah, I looked it up and saw that it's the same deal with Amazon and Gamecrazy. But Gamestop's on the way home for me and I don't particularly care that they're a soulless corporate cesspool. :)

Ya I can't stand Gamestop, but it's near me, so I go lol.

There are a few games this month that I'm interested in but weary. I'm weary of Bio-Shock 2, and AVP. Bio Shock was good, but it was not System Shock. And I just have a feeling they dumbed it down even more. And AvP I use to play AvP 1 and AvP 2's MP like crazy back in the day. I was always a drone alien. Enough of my rambling.

But Heavy Rain is the only must buy this month for me.

I never managed to finish Bioshock. I got through the first fight with the two mini-Big Brothers (I can't remember what they're actually called), and then I just sort of lost interest and never went back to the game.

But I pre-ordered Heavy Rain last night. Got into a conversation about Indigo Prophecy with the GS dude, too. He'd never played it and I gave him the ol' "2/3rds of it are awesome" spiel. :)

It’s official! Heavy Rain has now gone gold in North America and is off to manufacturing. This PlayStation 3 exclusive, psychological thriller will be available at retail on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 (mark it on your calendar). Don’t forget to pre-order your copy now so you will receive the first chapter of Heavy Rain Chronicles (upcoming downloadable-only episodes for Heavy Rain) at no cost, and you’ll be able to download the first chapter once you’ve picked up your copy of Heavy Rain (otherwise, all others will need to pay $4.99 per chapter and won’t be able to download until a month later — more info to come on Heavy Rain Chronicles).
In addition, we are also confirming that the Heavy Rain demo will be available in North America on Thursday, February 11, 2010 (mark it on your calendar) for download from the PlayStation Store. The demo will allow players to play two chapters from Heavy Rain, featuring Nor
man Jayden, an FBI agent brought in to help local authorities track down the Origami Killer, and Scott Shelby, a private detective hired by the families of past victims of the Origami Killer to find the serial killer.

New trailer at the jump.

I would really like to know how large the Chonicles are to justify spending $5.00 each on them. We know there will be at least 4 of them (probably more) and it could get pretty expensive.
