Hell on Earth

It was now 10:30 AM and what a terrible morning it has been. It seemed like a bad dream washed away in the night. But I knew better.

“Here eat this.” David imposed. He placed a zwieback on the table.

I sat in the kitchen still feeling stunned and dumbfounded on what the heck was going on. I was still in pain. I looked at the zwieback. It was small piece of bread.

“What going on?” I asked. I looked at the young man.

“How the **** should I know!” he said, “Like I said, I will ****** kill you if you become like her!”

I had had enough of this.

“Listen kid, I know it was a very hard thing to do and see,” I said “What you had to do to your mother was awful, but something really bad is going on around here.”

“We need to get help.” I said.

He looked very sad and tense like he was unsure.

“We need to call the police.” I said.

I am really liking what we're coming up with here. Who wants to be next?

Good Hugebear.

Comic, you can go next if you want. Or we can all go in the current order we've posted.

I don't know, is there no one else who doesn't want to join?

Thanks. Your script was good too. I liked how David used a bucket of water to wake Frank up.
Each of us bring something good to the story.

Well, when I think of having to wake up a person...throwing water onto them comes in mind. I've seen it movies, so...yeah.

You're right, each of us does bring something to this stry.

Hmmm, I still don't know what I brought.lol. But thank you guys because this is kool.

Awesome work! I really like the direction you've taken with the story! I'll have to come up with a new part, but im stuck with going to work tonight. Maybe when I finish i'll think of something. But yeah, I can't wait to see what else happens next!

:yay:

You have the next part, so take your time.

Thats cool!

I've already got a good idea boiling in my brain.

:woot:

Kool, have fun. Oh, and are you kool with where I took it?

It was the darndest thing, I dialed 911, and it was busy! I guess there's a first for everything, such as the events of the morning so far. David and I sat in the kitchen, he was sitting on a chair near the window, seemingly a million miles away. I couldn't say I blamed him, he had to kill his own mother. My head was still pounding, and arm was incredibly sore. I can't say I felt to good all over, but that wasn't on my mind at the moment. Right now the concern for my wife and child was overwhelming, it felt like there was a snake crawling through my mind, wrapping itself around my brain and making me worry even more. In addition to this, on top of it all, what the hell was going on?

"David, can you tell me what happened here?"

David glanced over his shoulder at me and sighed, he was struggling with his own demons I figured.

"I can't tell you whats going on, but i'll tell you something. Me and my dad were running the combine in the fields like usual when he saw a man stumble into the field. My dad almost ran over him, but he hit the breaks on time. We figured he was drunk or something, the way he was walking. Anyways my dad goes up to him and asks if he's okay, you know? The man looked hurt, like he was bitten on the arms by some animal. Anyways, the man suddenly, I don't know, jolted forward and grabbed hold of my dad biting him on the shoulder! My dad and the man wrestled to the ground and I kicked the crazed fellow off my dad and we both ran back to the house. My dad was bleeding real bad, I didn't know what to do! My mom started crying as well..."

David sat in the chair, his gaze falling to the floor. I could see tears forming in his eyes, he took a deep breath and exhaled.

"We called the police, and they said they would dispatch someone right away, well they never came. Well it wasn't too long until my dad started feeling real sick. It started with a real high fever, and he was puking his guts out. His skin was real pale to, and he started having these real bad shakes, you know? We had to hold him down until they stopped, and then he started talking crazy, like he was losing his mind or something. And then suddenly he passed away, died just like that".

David stood up and cracked his neck and coughed a little bit, he was gathering his thoughts I figured.

"I called for 911, just like you did, there was no response. It didn't make any sense in any shape or form. My mother stayed in the bedroom at my dads side, she was crying, and so was I. But then she started to scream! I quickly ran into the bedroom and there was my dad, slowly sitting up. I'll never forget his face, his eyes. He let out some kind of growl and attacked my mom! Before I could do anything he bit her on the neck! He was acting just like the man that attacked him in the first place! I pulled my mom away from dad, I don't know what happened but I tripped and hit my head against the nightstand, everything went black, you know? And when I woke up..."

David stopped right there and looked right into my eyes, trying to come up with the words to say. I kept my gaze on him, it looked like he was going to lose his mind. It wouldn't be hard to believe considering everything.

"When I woke up, dad was eating her foot. He had torn it off like he was some kind of animal, she wasn't moving anymore. She was dead, I could tell from where I was. I sat up real fast, and he noticed and he growled like some kind of wild animal! All I could do was run! I ran into the barn where we keep the horses, screaming my head off. I don't know how long I was in there for, but thats when my mother came stumbling in, on what was left of her foot. She was hissing, trying to grab at me. But could I do? I ran away from her, avoiding her and I shut the barn doors behind me, leaving her with the horses. I felt horrible, but what could I do?"

David sat at the kitchen table with me, he was wiping tears from his eyes.

"I couldn't go back to the house, not with my dad in there, not with what he became. I hid in the storage shed on the otherside of the house. I don't know how long I was hiding for, but thats when I heard you outside. At first I thought you were one of them, then I heard screams coming from the barn, and thats when I decided to do something, well you know the rest".

"I'm sorry, David. I truly am".

"Yeah, me too".

There was a silence, we were both looking at the surface of the table. Thats when we heard noises coming from outside. David looked at me, and I looked back at him. We saw a shadow moving behind the curtains right next to the table, just outside on the porch. We quietly got up and David peered through the curtain, so did I. It was a man, he was rather tall. There was blood all over him, especially on his arms where there were multiple bite marks. The mans mouth was hanging open and drool spilled out onto the porch. A strange wheezing sound came from him as he mindlessly marched onwards, there was something wrong with him, that much I was sure of.

"Thats the man who attacked my dad!" David cried.

Suddenly we heard the backdoor open and a few clumsy footsteps followed, me and David both shot glances to the back. A figure shambled around the corner, it was another man, a strong looking man. There was a nasty wound on his neck, his upper body soaked with blood. And he stared at us with the most haunting eyes, his pale face contorted as he growled at us. David went pale and he stumbled back against the wall.

"Dad?"

I backed against the wall as well, great, now what?

Dude, this totally has me scared. Wow. Guess, i'm next. Let's see what I can come up with.

Good, good chapter! You are showing talent venom. :cwink: you sure you're not trying to become a writer?

Part Six
There was one outside, and one in here with us, currently attacking us.

"We're screwed." David said. Well, that's thinking positively. We had flipped the table over and used it as a shield. He had two of its legs, and I had one since my right arm is messed up. David's dad, dead, undead--WHATEVER! He had stumbled toward us, started attacking at us. He was kind of big, bigger than me and David. Either way, we had get through him, and we needed to get out of this house."

"David, hold him off!"

I Pushed forward causing David's dad to stumble back. This gave me the time to let go of the table.

"What are you doing?" He asked me while he used the table to shield himself.

"David, we have to kill him." I said going through the kitchen drawers looking for a knife. I really wished it hadn't come to that. He already had to kill his mom.

"What? No!"

"David, if we don't, he'll get to us and we'll turn."

"But he's my dad..."

"Your dad is dead! This is the monster that attacked your mother. He's the reason you had to kill her!"

"But--"

I was really getting agitated at this point. I was not turning into one of those things, and I would've went through him to get to his father if I had to.

"No buts! Wasn't it you who said you wouldn't hesistate killing me if I turned? Well, look in front of us! Look in his eyes! Your father is gone! Your mother is gone!"

I found a knife and started going towards David's father.

"NO!" he screamed as he pushed me away. He pushed me pretty hard, I fell back and hit the back of my head on the kitchen counter and blacked out... again! ...That couldn't possibly be good for my health.

***

I woke up with a splitting headache. I annouced my awakened state by grabbing the back of my head and howling in pain. It had really hurt.

"Good, you're awake. Quiet down."

It sounded like David, but I couldn't see him. It was dark.

"Where are we?" I asked in a whisper. I looked at my glow in the dark watch, my son had given it to me for my birthday last month. Shockingly, it was 5:04 PM.

"Basement."

"How'd we get here? Did you kill your father?"

"...No. After you went out, I kept pushing him, with the table, out of the kitchen. From there we went through the livingroom, then I pushed him into the bathroom. He won't be getting out unless he learns how to unlock locks and pull doors open."

Okay, I guess we didn't have to kill him, but something was still bugging me.

"Why are we whispering?".

"So they won't hear us?"

"I... don't understand."

"After I locked my dad in the bathroom, I dragged you to the couch in the livingroom. I also locked the back door, it was careless of us last time. Well, it was around 2 something when she showed up."

"Wait, "she"? Your mother?"

"No, it was some chick, half of her face was missing. Her and the guy who attacked my dad broke through the door... My dad was supposed to fix that today. I had enough time to grab you and drag you down here. You're heavy, man."

My heart skipped a beat, and not because of the heavy comment.

"Say, did you get a chance to see what she was wearing?"

"Yeah, black dress, and a bloodied up white jacket."

I was quiet for a while, it must've made David uncomfortable.

"Frank?" he called my name.

"She followed me here..."

"What?" He asked me. There was fear in his voice.

"She was one of the first that attacked me."

"She tracked you here?"

"...We have to get out of here. It'll be dark soon, and things always get worst when it's dark out."

"There's a door down here. It leads to outside, around the shed and the barn. If we leave, we have to go to the shed and get some medical supplies and such, then we head for my car out front. You think you're up for it?"

"I guess. I need to wrap up this arm anyway, and maybe my head. I think they can smell my blood, and I've basically been a clinic all day."

"Sorry about pushing you earlier."

"It's fine. Let's roll."

Not bad.

Well, when I think of having to wake up a person...throwing water onto them comes in mind. I've seen it movies, so...yeah.

You're right, each of us does bring something to this stry.

Yeah, I should of explained better. I meant the fact that he did throw the water at a stranger who was hurt and after killing his mother, not really how he woke him up.
This horror seems part comedy, I laughed when he hit his head and everything went black. Again!... :woot:

I couldn't help it.:O I hope I didn't kill it.
