Far From Home Helmet, yes or no?

Fishbowl helmet?

  • Yes, he should mostly have the helmet

  • No, that won't translate to a film

  • He can have it a little bit as an Easter Egg, but not for most of the movie

Pretty straight forward. Given the reports of Mysterio, do we want to see the fishbowl helmet?

I think he'll have some form of glass mask, most likely mirrored. Maybe not the fishbowl, but he's totally getting some funky headgear for sure.

I’d imagine he’d get a helmet or some type of head gear, preferably slightly bigger than the rest of his body which I think is the key point in translating Mysterio’s silhouette. But I don’t think he’ll get a straight up fishbowl.

Fishboowwwwl. Or a helmet of some kind.

I was so let down by the Lizard not having the labcoat aside from from 1 minute (but that was just one of that interpretations many problems). I loved how they were able to keep the fur around the neck on the Vulture, that wasn't even a detail anybody was clamoring for or anything I bet we would have gotten in SM4 or Sony's Sinister Six.

Whipped this up a few months back. I think the fishbowl could work.

Just modernize it like Keatons' Vulture. Have the helmet a more head like shaped and dark with dark smoke inside effect going on with face barely visible.

It won't be the fishbowl. He'll get an updated look, just like Vulture. And we can only hope it will be as cool as Vulture was. Something like this:

I like those. The second one is actually creepy.

Mysterio without the helmet is like Vulture without wings.

Also, the description of the casting call made me think that bad guy was going to be Chameleon.

Mysterio without the fishbowl is not Mysterio.

Absolutely, 100% YES!!! He better have the helmet!!! :cmad:

20 votes. All for the fishbowl......

They should absolutely do the fishbowl.

Heck yeah i want the helmet, we got web-pits so why not Mysterio's helmet?

It adds to the character

Fishbowl all the way. That is his iconic look. Anything else and he won't look like Mysterio.

I don't care for any of these updated looks. It just needs to be a simple sphere. Any attempt to change it and make him look "cooler" doesn't look cool at all.

I am a hard no on the fishbowl. It's dated.. pure and simple. Having a gigantic circular ball over your head is 1) a tactical weakness.. easy to hit and 2) not menacing or theatrical at all, and 3) potentially really campy. It's only value is the nostalgia it would bring to some fans, at the expense of looking good or making any sense.

Now, a glass covering like CaptainWagner shows... that's acceptable. Still looks theatrical, still covers his face, still gives it this alien like quality.. but it's updated/modern and not as much of a tactical weakness.

Or, he could wear the glass bowl for like only 2 scenes, when he absolutely has to use it for a specific reason. That'd be acceptable as well.

I feel like you can get away with not having the fishbowl dome if you have a helmet that is bigger than your head/bigger than the rest of your body. I feel that's the key point in Mysterio's look. Almost like those classic arcade joysticks...if that makes sense.
