I'm supposed to be writing a thesis paper on Hamlet, which is shakespeare's worst play ever. I can't find anything to analyze because the friggin' story is too direct and plain. ****! :csad:

I got till 2pm tomorrow. I'm screwed.

Hamlet rocks. You can write plenty about it.

Watch The Lion King.
It's Hamlet with animals in Africa.

Gawd, I really dislike hamlet. Dude spends the entire ****ing play pondering the death of his father and whether to kill his uncle or not. There is no deeper meaning to anything, atleast 10 bloody pages to write about.

This is some bull****.

Is it high school or college?

shes in college. and i like how shes wasting time instead of geting down to it and wrting it.

Why can't I see anyone? Beats the purpose of stalking on the forums. :[

'Nyway, lemme get back to this stupid paper. Laterz, for now.

Oh yeah, I've finally decided on Incest. I firmly believe Hamlet wants to bang his mother! Wish me luck.

Hamlet's pretty dope. I kinda hated it at first, but once you analyze it enough and force yourself to dig deep into it, you find an appreciation for it. I spent a month in AP Lit in high school analyzing the hell out of it.

Some things that immediately come to mind:
- Fortinbras as Hamlet's foil
- The imagery of poison and disease
- The supernatural
- Madness
- Inaction on the part of Hamlet

And some specific topics I found online:
- Compare/contrast the relationship which the King and Queen have with Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, to the relationship which Hamlet has with Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, as defined...

- Contrast the attitudes towards the death of the old King as expressed by Claudius and Hamlet.

- Compare the advice given to Ophelia by Laertes and that given by Polonius.

Romeo and Juliet is the lamest.:down

With Hamlet you have:

Truth/Falsehood
the ineffective of the women in their roles
all the schemes and machinations that end badly

and a whole bunch of other ****.:o

I would first say quit playing around on the Hype. Secondly, we read, researched, wrote, and even acted out scenes from Hamlet. If you have any hard questions...ask me and I will try to remember.

Don't write about Hamlet. Write 10 pages on how your Prof. is a silly twowattface to make you read such an insidious piece of literature.

Who the hell are you? Go away.

And Orko, ****in' A. I wouldn't go that far though. I just don't care about it. The story bores the hell out of me. I don't know why anyone would refer it as Shakespeare's greatest. I got about 4 pages so far. There will be no sleep tonight.

Oh yeah and Mika rules.

GB, you can totally argue anything if you support it. Explore Hamlet's strange relationship with Ophelia... the love/detestment/rejection. That would make for a really interesting paper if you got heavy into it. Was Shakespeare trying to say anything about relationships?

That's SUCH a teacher question.

Probably the strongest angle to take on your paper would be to analyze how Hamlet's Freudian relationship with his mother affected his judgement and therefore his actions.

At the very least you can sell it to a porn site after you are done...
