Henry Golding in Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins

Snake Eyes Movie Reshoots Happening This March - HissTank.com

I guess they could be minor. Possibly to tie into that Lady Jaye series they've got in the works?

I didn't even think about that. I was like if the movie is completed and was supposed to be released already why are they doing more reshoots. Now if it has nothing to do with the Lady Jaye series then I'll be worried that they just decided they need to do more reshoots.

I'll be honest I don't get doing a Snake Eyes movie first. I get that Snake Eyes is the most popular character but this just feels like they're starting a franchise / universe with a spin-off movie to me. To me G.I. Joe is more like X-Men where it's team first with spin offs were Avengers is more about the characters with a team spin off. I hope that makes sense.

Everyone needs to calm down lol. It's common that movies get reshoots. Nothing to fear or theorise.

Maybe they're going to reshoot the entire movie, hence why we've seen nothing yet. :o :oldrazz:

I would agree if it wasn't for the fact that this this movie was supposed to have been finished and released five months ago. Maybe I've missed something about the movie not being completed. Like unless I missed Black Widow news that movie didn't go back for reshoots five months after it's delay. For me reshoots aren't a issue it's the timing of the reshoots. Please inform me of I'm completely missing something.

The below Andrew Koji interview was recorded March 2020, saying they wrapped ''about a week ago''. Then he says ''probably got reshoots in a month or two'' but I'm guessing it was delayed because Covid was shutting down most countries around this time.

So these could've been originally planned reshoots/pickups or some tweaks from early focus test screenings that got delayed to the pandemic, but we'll see.

Do people still get nervous about reshoots? Seems like it’s common now. Sometimes they improve the movie. Sometimes they don’t.

It's hard for me to be "nervous" about this movie when I don't really have any expectations for it. My main thought was it can't be much worse than the last two mediocre GI Joe movies, especially if its Snake Eyes-centric. Story wise, he's always been the strongest character.

The issue is will the director and producers go all the way with the fact that he becomes mute and/or badly burned or scarred? How do you deal with having a mute main character in an action-adventure movie?

I had never seen this thanks for the info and post.

I don't get nervous about normal reshoots but when they go back for a second or third round I do start to question why. And I'm talking about reshoots where you can clearly tell it was planned I guess you could say.

I wonder if the trailer will be released just before then?

First look at Snake Eyes coming from an action figure doesn't really sound right.

With how much WandaVision had to be re-shot due to the pandemic, I think every movie is gonna have more extensive re-shoots than previously. It's harder to get access to locations now also with most places still in lockdown. So re-shoots these days are going to be even more common IMO. At least until Covid is a thing if the past, which won't be for a while yet.

Stupid question but, does Hasbro have a specific, devoted fan base like Marvel and DC do? And if so, are the called the Has-Bros?
