In the movie, it was stated that high temprature burns from the sabot rounds could damage the robots armor, if this is true, how come Starscream was able to fly off the planet?

Sorry if it seems like a stupid question

My guess would be some kind of atmospheric sheilding/protection that may not work with projectiles, just a thought.

When they landed on the planet, they were transformed into those meteor-type shape forms full of protective goo of sorts. I read that off of one of the designer's websites.

Leaving the Earth's atmosphere is nothing like entering it, simply because you leave it a great deal slower than you enter it thanks to gravity.

I thought that they only transformed into the meteor-type shapes only to land on earth secretly, not because they had to?

Well, then popcorn needs better continuity, dammit! :cmad:

its probly becuase the rounds explode, where high tempretures would do nothing on its own without the added energy of an explotion

Here's what I don't get:

So like.....since some of the Transformers use earth weapons (bullets and missles), do they ever run out of supply or is it an endless amount of ammo? If it is endless then......where does it come from? I can't imagine Brawl dropping bullets and missles from his robot posterior.

If you take a close look at the sequence at the very end of the film where Starscream is flying out of our atmosphere, he turns back into his Cybertronian form. So maybe in his Cybertronian form, he has a higher tolerance for heat. I wonder that when all the transformers took on their Earth forms, they also took on their properties. I dunno, just a thought.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, Megatron was in his Cybertronian form and he got blasted by our military. And I also just thought of when they were in the Dam, they talked about how they were backwards engineered. So maybe they figured out a way to destroy them just in case they had to one day.

^looking into it to much.

It's called "Stirring up the pot on this boring tired board."

I don't see you posting anything of interest or worth discussion, specially digging through your previous posts. I expect this from you, today's youth.

Including the your grammatical error. The explanation of the difference between to and too happened back in first grade.

SO in closing, **** if you got nothing but negative misspelled garbage to say.

hah ha ha hah that was pretty funni , well done mate. OH NO A "GRAMMACTICAL ERROR" NOOoOOooOOOOoOOooOOOOoOOoO!!!!!!!!

oh yeah and " including the your grammatical error"?? wtf "the your"? c'mon man "the" and "your" dont go together...so you cant say jack AH HAH!

hum...interesting questions.
well...the only way is left our brains in home when we watch this movies.

you can nitpick movies like the hulk, superman returns an batman begins.

but in noooooooooooo way can you nitpick tranformers. the movie was made to have mistakes all over the place.

Explain. Both are literature, but one was put to tv and another to comic. Both share the same mediums.

Everyone nitpicked Transformers before it came out.

Everyone is nitpicking Batman right now with the lack of white skin Joker, the robocop horrible new Bat Suit, and the inclusion of Rachel Dawes, and crowded villians (Four last I checked, although one may not have a major role).

Explain to me the difference.

Your posts and your baby myspace page prove my points. I salute you.

so what? your stalking me now? what the hell man, i make one minor post that you take to far then you go and look at my other posts and my myspace page....some one is a very sad lonely man/boy/girl

i pitty you i really do :D

let me explain. nolan, ang lee and singer wnated some logic behind their movies. they wanted that people understand them.
and i think we had the right to nitpic about the mistakes.

bay on the other hand made a brainless movie. can you nitpick scary movie, date movie,.....? now you can nto IMO.

Writers who don't have an effing idea what a sabot round is, that's what happened.

Sabot doesn't rely on heat to burn through armour. It relies on kenetic energy and velocity to pierce armour.

It's true that the sabot round relies on kenetic energy and velocity to pierce armour however heat does play a factor in causing destruction inside the armour of whatever vehicle the sabot round penetrates. The amount of kinetic energy used to fire the sabot does not disappear when the sabot impacts a target. That kinetic energy is transferred into intense heat which is released from the metal fragments of the impacted sabot round.
