Transformers Here's what i dont get

let me explain. nolan, ang lee and singer wnated some logic behind their movies. they wanted that people understand them.
and i think we had the right to nitpic about the mistakes.

bay on the other hand made a brainless movie. can you nitpick scary movie, date movie,.....? now you can nto IMO.

This is so true.....Tf was so simplistic I don't have much problem with it. If i want to be nitpicky then i'd even question the donuts on the plate...which is really...who cares???

It's true that the sabot round relies on kenetic energy and velocity to pierce armour however heat does play a factor in causing destruction inside the armour of whatever vehicle the sabot round penetrates. The amount of kinetic energy used to fire the sabot does not disappear when the sabot impacts a target. That kinetic energy is transferred into intense heat which is released from the metal fragments of the impacted sabot round.

see,,,this is getting tooooo deep now...

good job though in explaining

So like.....since some of the Transformers use earth weapons (bullets and missles), do they ever run out of supply or is it an endless amount of ammo? If it is endless then......where does it come from? I can't imagine Brawl dropping bullets and missles from his robot posterior.

I know this would sound corny but how about

E=mc²

Perhaps the Transformers inherited the ability to convert energy into mass (bullets/rockets whatever) from the Allspark.

Yeah but the way sabot was protrayed in the movie is more how HEAT rounds work. They acutally burn through armour and explode.

You are somewhat right. In the film when the sabot rounds hit a decepticon they appeared to explode. However, in theory the explosion could be the result of the hot metal sabot fragments cutting through electrical wires in the transformers after the impact.

Interesting explanation. The only problem with this is where does all this energy come from. I believe that while on cybertron the allspark would periodically replenish the transformers energy. Once the allspark was lost the energy inside each transformer started to diminish and would eventually run out. After seeing how easily some of the decepticons were defeated in the film it is my belief that most if not all of the transformers were running low on whatever energy they received during the last time the allspark was used for replenishing.

But there's no reason to beleave that they only use the allspark for energy. Most likly they found a way to convert solar waves into what they need.I'm sure they have found an other way of converting things into energy.Maybe the amo is their waste.

Who cares, movie kicked ass.

What else were the humans going to use against the TF? Nukes in crowded situations? We needed some hi-tech ballistics in the movie and we got them.

Movie was good.

i still think that if you want to use some logic with TF then your head will explode. it makes no sense that they always have bullets.
when the TF's came to live planet earth how come they had earth weapons?

enjoy the ride.........but dont use logic.

I have something i don't quite get, and don't want to open a thread for this...

Why on earth did they decide to go to the city with the all spark???

To hide it from the decepticons. The decepticons, I think, can track the cube on certain general location but not accurately pinpoint where it is (just like the TF: armada when they track the minicon in certain general area, they know that it is there, but not know the exact location, they still have to look for it). So by hiding it from the city, at least it gives them a chance to "hide" it rather than be a sitting duck in the desert. Besides if the cube is obtained by the decepticon, it is the end anyways, might as well give them a hard time.
.....and of course, it make good for "blowing up stuff" and mayhem, for more action......it works, didn't it??

ok I see the point of making it hard to locate by the decepticons..
but why the center of a busy city...
it's all but safe to me...

Why not going to an Army base somewhere where they could have use a hell lot of weapon to fight back...

Not understanding the reason why they moved to the city, put me out of the final scene a lot, as i was like "ok but, they are stupid, why the city???"

Anyway thanks for the clarification

there is no logical explanation. they needed to writte it like that so that bay can have some extreme action sequences in the city.
simple as that.

Weak :csad:

I was hoping that at least they could get a decent explanation

busy city?? i guess more distractions...more confusion??
Weapons??..that will work right??they all have weapons...maybe the army base was too far...took some time for the air force jets to get there.

But don't TF copy their environment including human weapons??.....and, beside, it was said that humans machines, i assume including weapons, was reversed engineered from megatron... therefore, our weapons was copied from cybertronian in the first place.

Well if you think about it, the autobots were everyday vehicles that had no weapons, therefore they resorted to using energy weapons, most of the decepticons in the film were army vehicles that already had weapons. As for frenzy being able to shoot bullets, i dont know
